Being able to throw stuff on the top and tie/bungee it down would be amazing. I don’t care too much about a roof too tent, just stuff I can’t fit inside. But I think some people would want the ability to still mount lights. I’m certainly interested in this at the right price.
Thank you for the input. The design is to be compatible with multiple rack heights and functions. Personally I want the capability of having a light bar to point to the rear for easy tailgating lights; we think the base system will suffice and give plenty of flexibility without being upsold. Bungees from Home Depot will work just like tie downs from Ace :).

Please make sure during design that your RAKET doesn't rattle around in it's attaching points and make extra racket.

Not that you would hear it with as much ambient cabin noise that is being reported.
Very true. There’s two ways we’re looking to dampen sound, and both will be tested. I’m not a fan of the soft top noise, the last thing I want is a racket from my RAKET :)

How about a tool-less removal and install. Thumb/wing nuts ...
There will definitely be some tool-less features once the primary brackets/mounts are placed. Thank you for the input and we’ll definitely work towards that.

The only reason for me not getting the gobi one is that is too tall and then the bronco wont fit in the garage, so if it can be somewhat “stealthy” i’m in! Also like the idea of mounting options on the sides.

We’re definitely designing this to be stealthy and adjustable. We don’t want to sacrifice stability, but IMO there are ways to have both. I’m actually excited about the options for the sides. I see gas tanks, showers, and molle bags hanging soon. Thank you for the input.

Someone else has posted about retaining soft top functionality with a rack, just want to add a +1 to that. Even a half rack that didn't span the entire length of the roof and was over the cargo area and some of the backseat that still allowed the top to open to position 1 would be my dream and solve a lot of storage issues we have for camping trips when we bring the pup. Would love to see if you can make it happen!

+1 to this.
No, +10

How about utilizing the toolkit that is included where tools are needed for mount/install and takeoff? This would minimize the amount of extra tools needed when removing/reinstalling the multi-rack.

Been designing my own… but I get pretty swamped at work and my projects tend to drag out for far too long… so I’ll watch your thread for updates.

best wishes

the rack is cool. Right now, the scarcest item not on the market are roof rails/crossbars that work with the top off (mounts to roll cage). One of those will open up my wallet faster than a road side chicken BBQ
There is a set that came across the forums they were north of $500 and can stay in place with the top installed/closed.

Thanks and hopefully it’s a system that works for you too.
