I think anything in the 35ish range is about right. A little lower might give you a softer ride, a little higher will probably give you slightly better MPG.
A little lower is likely to get you a low tire pressure warning. It's somewhere near 35 that trips the warning. It definitely complains when I drop my pressure to 20.

Bumping this to get a definitive answer from a door tag. Concensus seems to be 35ish which I agree, but one 39 which may have been a Sasquatch. I put BD size on my BB and am curious what the door tag says.

I've been running 40 psi in mine, and it rides just fine. I have noticed that after about 8000 miles, my tread depth in the center is about 1/32 inch less than the outer tread blocks. So I will probably drop them to 36 psi and see how that goes…

It is 39psi. I'm a stock BD 2-dr.

What do the Specs on your Tire say?

There is absolutely No need for 39psi in your tires with such a light vehicle, unless you are loaded down to the max.

My Black Diamond was way over what I like from the dealer (factory) they were close to 50PSI in the General Grabbers it rode like a lumber wagon. I continued to lower PSI until I was happy with ride. I found that to be 32-36PSI I had 2 Door BD.

In my opinion, this is the best answer. I believe you want even tread wear and that will depend on driving conditions, technique and the speed that your specific vehicle experiences.

Can somebody with a Black Diamond please tell me what the recommended tire pressure is as shown on the door frame placard? Ideally from a 2 door model, but I will take a 4 door since that is probably a lot easier to find out there.

Reason I am asking: I installed on my Base the same tires (General Grabber ATx) that come stock on the BD and wonder what Ford is recommending they be inflated to.

Thanks!

It really depends on the Tire, not Ford.

All tires have a Max Load at a specified Max PSI.

The Sasquatch Goodyears are rated at a Max load 2550 at 35PSI. There is NO reason to go over 35psi on this tire, ever. My 4-Door V6 Bronco with 37s has a Front Corner Weight of 1470. The Bronco is no where near the max rating of this tire unless you are overloaded. I run 32 Front and 30 Rear. It rides awesome! Still more psi than what is needed for the weight of the vehicle with this tire.

What PSI? Go by what the tires says right there on the sidewall. Then do the math.
