Such speculation…I bought a 2 door with 2,300 miles. 16,000 miles later, zero issues. Owner told me straight up that is just wasn’t what he thought it would be. But for me, it’s been way more than I expected.

I have seen others say this as well. I think they were expecting it would be like a Lincoln and it is a Ford. Personally I knew exactly what it would be before I ever laid eyes on one. Loving every minute of my 2DR Basesquatch.

Almost certainly an RJ11, Cord and connector look to thin for RJ45. My bet is the other end is just hanging out in the cargo area, and this was for a Subwoofer Amplifier Volume Control Knob.. I've got one just like it on the other side of my dashboard, but hooked to a knob.

v1 now has a usb connection available- I assume with a voltage step up to 12v. I’m gonna ditch the the rj connection and hook into my Mabett dash rail usb socket. Can’t wait- running rj cord to the console was a PITA and ugly

But in my opinion, someone that probably waited months if not years to get it, obviously took the time to modify it as if they were going to keep it, then turns around and sells it before the 1st oil change...well sounds like a lemon in the making.

Or... like quite a few people on this forum alone, he bought two.

No I totally agree. They're definitely some good buys out there. Fortunately you were able to talk to the original owner and get a feel.

I'm just pointing out a caution. They're only three reasons why someone would flip their Bronco... Greed, expectations, or gremlins.

I simply pointed out the OP should do their diligence to try to roll out that last one.

Looks like a radar detector wire, that's not factory.

I agree with this. Valentine1 radar detectors use cat5 RJ45 connectors for their power cord. My guess is the previous owner ran that cable to power behind the dash for their radar and just grabbed their unit when they traded in and didn’t bother to remove the cable.
No big deal. Just buy a Valentine1 and you’re set!

Congrats on your Bronco! That's an RJ11 and could go to a lot of things. It could power low draw devices or even be a microphone extension for radios. Not stock. I'd trace it to see what it's connected to. May be wired to one of your aux switches for a radar detector like many have said.
