Huge props to @RedDawg who crawled under the 2 door Badlands Bronco on the Sanderson, AZ showroom floor to take a pic of the stamp inside the optional Badlands wheel. He or she is the man/woman!

Hopefully some of you experts can comfirm my math but since this pic shows “ET55“ stamped on the wheel, that ET55 means a positive offset of 55mm (which when converted to inches is 2.16”). So, since this is a 17 x 8” wheel then the centerline of the wheel is at 4.0” and if you add 2.16” to that it means this that the backspacing is 6.16”. But then you have to add.5” for the outside bead measurement. So, to sum it up, we now should have the specs on this wheel. Again, someone check me here but below should be the specs for the optional Badlands wheel:

The Optional Badlands wheel is a 17 x 8” wheel, with 6 x 5.5” (or 6 x 139mm) with a 55mm offset and 6.66” of backspacing.

Next logical question is can you fit a 35 x12.5 or 315/70 on this wheel and not have it rub on the front upper control arms or the crash members in the front wheel well?

@jaruss01 - Can you share math and graphics showing us if this wheel will fit a 35 or 315 without rubbing?

This is the wheel I am referencing.

What is the tire size on this rim? And you will need to know how much room you have between the oem tire setup the Suspension before you can determine how much tire you can run.

315 is a lot of tire on an 8” rim. I doubt you will clear with a 55 offset.

That is a crazy offset. I highly doubt you're going to fit a 35" on that without rubbing. You probably just saved me $995 (and cost me a lot more in aftermarket rims ...).

‘This is my question too. We know there is about 1” clearance to the upper control arm of the suspension and about 3-4” to the crash bars (on non squatched Broncos). @jaruss01 can help us with specifics but I bet that with this positive 55 offset it will rub if one wants to add 35s or 315s to this wheel. Unless you add spacers and cut off the crash bars, but I would not personally run spacers.

I already came to the conclusion that non sas wheels are +55. In short, the answer is no. Although with a BL lift you may be able to squeeze a slightly larger diameter but that’s mostly because BL is 32.7 not 33.0”. Anything beyond maybe 33.5” on BL is too tight to predict without testing in person. ...Unless you want to cut into or remove the crash bars....the OBX has 0.7 less lift than a BL and the absolutely tightest I’m seeing on paper is is slightly narrower tire (11.0 vs BL 11.2) at 33.2 dia. That’s a 275/70/r18. I haven’t toggled through upsizing 17s but don’t think you could go beyond 33.5 dia while keeping a 11.2 depth on a BL suspension.

If you get this wheel with your Badlands, it’s coming with a 285/70r17 tire (measuring 32.7” high and 11.2” wide).

So, Sas wheels are probably 0 or maybe even negative offset? Asking for a friend ...who may swap Sas tires for 285's and run chains.

If you look at the Overland concept that has fifteen52 wheels with a 0 offset compared to any Sasquatch rig, you'll see the Overland concept wheels stick out further. The Sasquatch wheels are still a positive offset, just somewhere between 55 and 0.

Nope. Probably in the mid 30 into low 40s. Badlands overlands fifteen52 wheels had zero offset and that poked out 2” inches beyond sas flares which are 1.5” wider than non sas flares

Dumb question but the wheels specs get a little confusing.....If I get a BL with stock wheels then swap them for squach take offs can I run a 295 70 or 285 75 tire without issues. My understanding is they may stick out an inch or 2 more, I could be mistaken

Yeah, that's the same as my Veloster N stock wheels and 7mm more than my Fifteen52 Intergrales I run on it now.

Thanks!
My big takeway is they are die cast....no thanks. I prefer forged for off road use.

Now on to see if the squatch version is cast or forged, I doubt forged. Cheap azz OEMs.

this is great work ! This info is BL wheel specific though, correct? In other words, it doesn't answer whether one can run 285/75/17 on a nonSas BL with aftermarket wheels with different specs?

Zooming in on the pic you can see it is a 285/70R17, 33" tire.
