Who's going to Bronco Celebration EAST 2021 in Townsend, TN from April 21-24

Heading up to the Smokies on Sunday 4/18 and staying all week. Will attend Cel-East on Wed & Thurs, and have a ride-along booked for Thursday afternoon. Weather (at this point) looks cooperative most of the week, but anything can change.
What's the better route between G'burg and T'send?
They're about the same distance and time, but Route 2 looks a bit more scenic(?)

Also for anyone not from this area. Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg are basically parking lots on weekends and Sevierville gets bad as well.

Route 2 along the little river is scenic but can get crowded on weekends, especially around trailheads. Add some time to the Waze estimate to be safe.What's the better route between G'burg and T'send?

Broncos are starting to pull into Townsend. Staying in Townsend at a friends cabin and just drove by the visitors center and around that area. Saw about 1 dozen classic Broncos.

I am driving up from Nashville on Wednesday night for a Thursday Morning ride along. Really hoping for a little trail time during the ride along.
And as others have stated, the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area is a giant parking lot during the weekends, so plan ahead.

I was there today, and rode with a guy who signed-up for a ride-along on-site as his 'guest'. I Doubt they're turning anyone away. We rode in the red 2-door Badlands. I've also got a reservation for Thursday. Two doses are better than one.
You drive about a mile down the hwy to a privately-owned off-road trail. (Ford actually beefed up the trail and will have to do some after-festival work as well.) The trail owner actually was on it during our ride, and the radios were all abuzz about an 'unauthorized' Jeep on the trail, hehe. They use all the gadgets during the ride, including trail turn assist.
