Tell the boss the 2 door is for you to have fun with your gf....and that you’re possibly looking for a used van for the space that she wants in a vehicle!??

Why...
I have been firmly I mean firmly on the 2 door bandwagon from the inception. Love the simplicity and it reminds me of the original to its core. But my lovely
Misses seems to think “we” will need a little more room that the 4 door provides..

I was done 2 door squatch Black diamond but now I might B&P a 4 door!

I’m sure I’m not the only idiot that has done this?!!
Haha well I'm sure for many of us, what we end up with will look quite different than what we originally thought we would get

For instance I was enamored by the orange 2 door wildtrak (because who wouldn't be right). But then I came down to earth and went with the more longterm realistic route.
Truth be told, I have a fiance and presumably/hopefully a family on the way complete with companion dog. A four door makes sense. And the orange color is fun but unless it comes with a revolutionary feature to change colors based on the activity you're doing, that orange color may be a bit too much for just a drive to the inlaws. So I went with a more subdued and mature color.... A51

I also wanted the big engine but as someone who will not often go on trails, nor do a lot of highway driving... that 310 HP won't be put to good use

So don't worry about changing your mind. This is a big long term purchase. Over time you will settle in to what works best for you, your life style, and your family

Compromise is easy in theory but is difficult in application. Luckily neither of us is afraid to admit when our line of thinking is wrong. Both of us are stubborn but neither of us are overly selfish. I've got myself a unicorn I tell you. Hopefully she believes she has a unicorn as well.
This. I like to make my wife happy and she likes to make me happy. It doesn't always work that way but at least we try.

These "I do what I want posts" make me laugh. What if your other wanted to "do what they want" and spend $50k. Seeems like some may not want to make that compromise.

I don't know what OPs relationship is but I know this probably isn't where you should get your answers. Talk to your wife. Each make a pros and cons list. Compare. Discuss. Don't "stand up to her." Come to an agreement with each other.

Easy solution. If your wife wants a 4 door bronco, let her buy her own bronco.

I’ve flopped from a 4 door to a 2 door...then back to the 4 door, and now I’m back to the 2 door again. I have no idea what I’ll be ordering come December lmao. All I know is that it’ll have a steering wheel. I like the idea of getting out the door with one of these rigs for under $35k which is why the 2 door base is so enticing to me.

But yea my thought process for going to back to the 4 door initially was the extra space as well. Not a bad move.

Thank goodness - I defaulted to 4 door because I figured she’d insist. When we discussed, she’s like get whatever you want. ? thanks lady.

Wife owns a 2013 Fiat convertible and an 1983 Fiat Pininfarina convertible. Told me I was sleeping outside if I even considered a 4DR lol. I was 2DR from the beginning and remain one. Only question I'm debating is BB Sasquatch or Badlands with the 33"s.

Yeah those posts always crack me up. I find it crazy when people come on here and are like, "I'm married, but screw her opinion. I'm a man." I'm thinking, "That's your wife, not your dang roommate bro." I sense a disturbance in the force, and it tells me divorce is fast approaching for many of these folks, and over a vehicle no less. Then they'll regret getting the Bronco when the ex has a right to half. It may end up being the ex's Bronco lol. The irony of that would be tantalizing.

If only it was that simple!
It is that simple.

There's my money, her money, and our money.

If you want to let her decide how you spend your money, that's on you.

That's how we work it, too. She pays her bills, I pay mine and the household bills. As long as the hh bills are paid we each spend our money how we please.
