Wish they had a popped hood pic. I’d like to see what that 2.7 looks like under there.

Heck yeah it's deserved, in advance. That's the B&P IT manager in the back. He's prepping for tonight.

For all the keypad hate (and i'm in that boat!) you're all missing the strongest argument for the keypad.....

Post 186 spells it out....

The unit is total garbage and will leave you stranded. Ford's part supplier hasn't sorted this out in 3+ years that it's been a problem. Ranger forums still talk about the keypad failures and battery issues.

my three fords (in the past) with keypads, never had an issue with battery. Also I was only using it ~ once a month too

That key pad looks real cheap. I like that they're offering that still as an option but just looks real dated on the Bronco. I'm not sure if I'll be checking that option on mine just based on looks.

Is this the first glimpse of the keypad on the Ford Bronco? Any chance it will be updated to sometime less cheap looking?

This is what my wife will be getting but in A51. The only way she would agree to the bronco was if it had side steps, so Wildtrack with side steps it is. I wanted it to have sasquatch and the 35's so I'm happy.

I wish they used the same keyless entry as my 2017 gt350 has, where you press on the door handle and it recognizes the key in your pocket to open or lock.

Is the black button at the leading edge of the door handle for lock/unlock? (with key fob in pocket) If so, the placement is dumb - it should be closer to the righthand side of the handle. I'm sure it's just the "hey, that's an ergonomic shitshow" side of me whimpering....
Yeah I noticed that too. If that’s really where the button is for the Intelligent Access then they did that back-assward. Literally every other vehicle that has intelligent access has the button more towards the keyhole. Terrible ergonomics.

WildTrack? Looks more like an OBx to me. WT comes with a Hard Top, OBx comes with the Step Sides.

Wow I hate that they're probably using a button for the keyless entry. Just looks so cheap when even the Focus comes with the option to have it just unlock when you put your hand behind the handle.

I only went by the fact that they have recalled the prior part DURING production of the 2019 Ranger, and have now issued a TSB on the "new and improved" part.

So no, I do not believe my opinion to be anecdotal. Unless you feel Ford's recall and TSB process to be flippant and based on single sample sizes?

Getting the feeling that your response might have been off the cuff and not researched (at all), so here is the TSB you should have looked up before responding with your anecdotal evidence. After you research the TSB you can call your friendly dealership where they will tell you that due to the TSB the supplier is making a new part so you will be issued the old keypad part and have to replace it once the new part is in.*

TSB: SSM 48026

* this information is valid up to yesterday (10/21/2020) when talking to the dealership about our now 3rd failed keypad as the battery died last weekend (since the post I quoted earlier) and is not responding to a new battery.

I do VERY MUCH appreciate your attempt to refute "anecdotal evidence" with anecdotal evidence. Solid move, player!
