My windshield washer is not working. The motor works as I can hear it but no fluid is coming out. Is it a clog? How can I clear it??

Has it never worked, or just randomly stopped recently?

I‘ve experienced it randomly stop working, but then it’s fine next startup. Heard the same thing from others too.

Mine would take forever to pull fluid even with a full reservoir.

Mine originally stopped shortly after purchase and was fixed at the dealership. 18 months later not an issue

I have had both issues. Sometimes the motor doesn't come on. But if you stop, turn the motor off and back on then the washer fluid pump would work.

This past 2 weeks it does what you describe. I can hear the motor but nothing comes out. But if you keep the pump going a long time it eventually works.

No idea why, maybe a back flow valve is stuck open so the pump has to prime itself?

If you find a solution post it

I was afraid to let it run to long and risk burning motor. I’ll try it!!

Guess I'm in this group now. Non-functioning about a week ago, so I filled the reservoir. It worked that afternoon. Now a week later, I gave it a shot and nothing. Guess I'll have to see if shutting off and back on "fixed" anything.

Our BL has done that once in 20K, just stopped working. I let it go for a bit and for some reason hit the rear washer and everything worked fine. I thought it was just some random Ford Gremlin.

I nearly never use it, but yesterday it took a few tries. Maybe just needed some priming...lol.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
