Show Us Your Reverse / Rear Chase Lights!

I'm interested in adding some reverse backup lights. I have Oracle tail lights and don't really need them... but what proper Bronco owner ever said "I don't really need them"? Let's see some photos of your solution to adding reverse backup/chase lights. I know there are many, many solutions and they are spread all over the forum, but maybe we can get a good mix together in one place on this thread. What you got?

I have a couple Morimoto 4bangers in my spare connected to AUX 3 switch. Work well for seeing behind me, and people who don't shut their high beams off.

Baja Designs Reverse Kit for 2021+ Ford Bronco

This puts the lights on the spare tire. It does not fit a Bronco Raptor but keeps them up and out of the way. Baja's kit actually doesn't control them automatically when going in reverse though. When I installed mine I tapped into the reverse circuit. NOW we make a pigtail that could help customers but Baja's "KIT" doesn't include that. So it's still a "switched" method.



Diode Dynamics Stage Series Reverse Light Kit for 2021+ Ford Bronco

Similar in design to the Baja Designs kit, where it puts the lights on the spare tire. However the Diode Dynamics kit includes a pigtail to tap into the reverse circuit. So you can turn them on from a switch with this kit AND they'll automatically come on when going in reverse. I've never ran THIS particular kit on my own truck, but it's similar to the Baja Designs kit. One additional benefit is that they include red back-lighting on the lights so that when your trucks on the back-lighting is red on the light

This is the kit I'm running now. It goes under the bumper. I'm fine with that since I don't off-road and most customers are fine with that also. I always tell people you're going to hit your exhaust before you hit the reverse lights if you're concerned with clearance. Our kit includes a harness that lets you turn them on from a switch BUT we also include a pigtail so it plugs right into the factory circuit (no cutting, plug and play). It's one of the quickest reverse kits we sell to install


2021+ Ford Bronco Reverse Light Kit w/Diode Dynamics Lights & KR Off-Road Brackets

The exact same thing as our Baja Designs kit, only with Diode Dynamics lights. The current version of our kit does NOT include a red-back light but in a few weeks (when our new pigtails arrive) this kit will automatically be updated so that the red back-lighting feature is there (comes on when trucks on). It plugs in-line with the factory harness so no cutting and includes our switch harness as well. So just like our Baja Designs kit, you can turn the lights on/off from a switch AND automatically in reverse. I would have installed this kit BUT i'm already running Baja Designs lights on the Bronco. I DO have this kit on our F150 though so i'll include a photo of that for good measure



I'd say our Diode Dynamics Kit w/KR Off-Road Brackets is our #1 seller followed very closely by the Diode Dynamics spare tire kit as the #2 seller with the Baja Designs kit coming in 3rd (little more expensive for the Baja Designs lights)

With any of our reverse kits you can just throw on some amber covers and you have chase lights.

We also sell a portable chase light that'll work on the hard tops. In case you need something for an event but don't want it installed all the time

If you're looking to do something that can be a reverse light and a chase light, I like the Baja Designs kits.

You could either go with S1 or S2 lights for regular use. And then when you want amber for the chase lights, just slap some amber translucent covers on and you're good to go.

Since I got a JCR rear bumper with light holes I put some cheaper flood pods back there…more for camp setup than chase lights but…
