Ford claims to be pretty tech-savvy today; maybe they beamed a fix over the satellite?
All they had to do was remove the "blow up" GOAT mode.

Totally incorrect. Try 31 out of dozens on this forum.
You can't measure anything by that standard.

First It's not even 31 on this forum, cause some of those reported are are 2nd hand sources, ones even an off rodeo vehicle that is speculated as to how it died. Others joined at time of failure, which is totally normal, when shit goes sideways people go to the internet for help. But that completely skews the "on this forum" aspect of a count.

Only Ford knows the real numbers and I highly doubt they will share.

Anyone keeping the statistics on this? If it’s that crazy is ford responding?

I’ve never done google forms before so this may be a bust, but what do we think about collecting data on “failure free miles” so we can help put a scope around the size of this problem or hopefully make us worry a little less.

@Lucchese If we like this we could add it to the original post of this thread?

- according to a Ford source . . re availability of replacements:

'MB3E-6007-AA . . running complete assembly . . running completes are all but unobtainium.'

Comment -
- as posted earlier, the part#'s for the heads (i.e. entire head assembly) are definitely changing, both Left and Right - this is confirmed
- ? maybe there's a delay getting the new heads into production ?
- the delay may be a good thing
It’s good if you are getting the new heads. I doubt Ford ever issues a recall.

I remember back in 2012 when Jeep had a design flaw in the 3.6L engine which was new to the wrangler. They ended up redesigning the heads and recalling all engines for a head swap and extended warranties on the engines out to 100k miles.
It is a bit sad that Jeep customer care seems so much better than Fords. This is my first Ford purchase in 8 years and, to be honest, quality and customer care seem to have gone down hill.

This is the response you should have @Ford Motor Company
