Gina,
The "306" after 21"306" means that you r engine was manufactured on the 306th day of 2021.
or November 2, 2021. It is the AA suffix, if you look above the large 121. Should you be worried?
There is an unknown percentage of failures for the AA revision engine. It's covered by warranty and no sense worrying about it.
Regards,
George

Thank you so much for the clarification. Appreciate that. I hate the unknown and I hope it doesn’t ever happen. I feel really bad for those who have had this terrible experience.
Warranty or not it’s definitely an aggravation.

they say I need a new engine. Water got into the cylanders and it is ruined.
Unless there's a soaked air filter and standing water in the air cleaner box, I calls bulls shits.

Every cylinder and all water plus oil blow through out my engine when I’d crashed most likely yours crashed like all of them and the water came from the destruction when it blew the lines. You have someone in service misinformed call Ford

So are they trying to claim it got in through the airbox? Seems like the only way could happen without something happening internally.

So this weekend, driving my BD 2.7. Engine started coughing,, sputtering & conking out on me. Luckily I made it home. Had it towed to dealer on Sat morning. She is a dirt mountain veteran. Julian number is 21167! Ford on this forum has started a case for me. Just got off the phone with my dealer. Said they can't even look at her for at least a week!!!!!
4,400 miles on her. Never had a problem till now!!!! The last time I saw my Nellie

I see the problem, you washed it, clearly it was submerged in the car wash, and the engine succumbed to the flooding. It's obvious!

That case number is about as useless as @Ford Motor Company's account is here. It also sounds like your dealer is a complete tool. You need to call Ford Customer Service and the New Vehicle Team to have them start working the issue. It's an early service failure and needs to be treated as such.

Water in the cylinder, right, sure that's the problem... right after you sailed it down the Guadalupe river as a barge. GTFO with that BS from the dealer.
