Have seen some tire punctures on rock crawls… these tires are probably unlikely to pop. But possible.Logically, there are only 3 reasons:
1. Rock crawling. Stuff where you're not going through long trails and won't need a spare and want to lose the weight on the back. May also need extreme departure angles or to reverse up against something tall behind you to get lines.
2. Some people just like the look, just like some people like ugly blue wheels and sideways facing Bronco emblems or an extra tag that has "Bronco" on it....
3. They can't afford a fifth wheel and/or tire.
the joy of calling AAA when you're four miles past the sign that says high clearance 4$WD drive vehicles only after bypassing the closure chain.I just really want to know.
Not saying don't have a spare somewhere with you, like at your tow rig at the trail head or taken off while you're in a rock garden. Probably the best solution is to mount it prerunner style.Have seen some tire punctures on rock crawls… these tires are probably unlikely to pop. But possible.
It’s just personal taste, kind of like the dudes who put on 20” wheels. Some just love the look. It’s not for most people but if it floats your boat spend your money how you want.I just really want to know.
