I have a 2022 Badlands with mid package. Was reading through some other threads and wanted to try adding the 2021 display dials.

Anyways, part just showed up and I can confirm M2DZ-19980-C is setup for heated seats, heated rear window (hard-top prep package), and dual zone climate control.

Will post more pics when I get the dash apart and the new piece installed...

It's weird, when you go to the sites that provide this, Levittown Ford for instance and do the check if it fits your vehicle finder, it says it does not fit the 2022 Badlands, I tried it on two different sites as I have the 2022 Badlands as well.

That's because the 22 part number is different, because it didn't have the digital knobs. 2022 would start with an N (N2DZ)

I see, but the 21 works in the 22 then is what OP has proven?

Correct, it is the part for a 2021 because they had the display dials. Order at your own risk but I can say with certainty it worked for me on my 22.

If you plug the 21 part into a 22 you get working dial displays with no coding changes needed.

Do you still have the temperature readouts showing on the multifunction display after the switch?

So now you have redundant temp set point displays? That would drive me more crazy than not having the dial readings. I would be knee deep in Forscan.

This is cool that you figured this out, but man, $400+ just for a readout seems a bit crazy. Good info all around for anyone wanting to do the same! 🍻

Because I'm almost always in android auto, I could never see the temp on the screen which also drove me weirdly nuts.

Ha was thinking the same thing! I'm too cheap for the $100 start/stop eliminator.

Great content from OP though, this is why I follow this site.

Sweet!! Glad they didn't do some weird software lockout thing that would have prevent it from working.

Definitely not worth the $700 MSRP in my opinion, or even the reduced prices dealers often sell it for. I set my temperature to 20.5ºC on day 1 and I don't think I've changed it since. So I probably would only buy it if broke one of the other knobs/buttons and the 2022 version is more expensive (which it may be since it is a 1-year-only part now).

But for those that constantly fiddle with the temperature (like my wife), this will make them happy.
