They have to discount off invoice but end result will be close to DORA price minus certificate.

For part (2) —2023 in year price protection—tell your dealer to look at the Retail Price Protection information Ford provided to them, which for 2023 is at least the following documents:
(1) C&I/Pricing Announcement: EFC12360
and
(2) C&I/Pricing Announcement: EFC12491
I guess the problem is that I can’t find anything from ford that talks about retail price protection related to the options like lux, Sasquatch, MIC.

what is DORA msrp??

I actually sent them amounts and referenced those very announcements that OBS has listed above in their post. I think one of the documents I couldn't find but since they would be sent out by Ford to dealers, then the latter should be able to get them.

And re DORA, I am not certain what it is exactly so don't want to lead you astray by just merely guessing.

My Bronco Wildtrak has finally arrived. It will be ready for me to pick up tomorrow, Saturday or Monday depending on when they get my rock rails and a few other goodies installed.

The dealer is charging me MSRP minus the $3620 private offer. The salesman was unaware of the further price protection in place within the 2023 model year. I explained it to him and he assured me that if they receive it they will pass it along to me, and he said they will write this on the "we owe" paper when we do the paperwork along with both of our signatures. Is there anything else I should do at this point? I thought about referring him to this thread, but it's an just an internet forum. Is there an official channel like a specific agent or department at Ford with whom I should as him to speak? I will certainly refer him to the documents referenced above. Thanks for your help.

Hey all - I am looking for best approach to a situation here. I have read a few threads here and trying to shore up best practices. @KompressorV12 @OuterBankSquatch @OnyxBronc sounds looks like you all had some luck.

I took delivery of my Bronco on Tuesday. September 2020 reservation, first month order. My dealer has hid information from me all along, and told me blatant lies about what they know / don't know. I obtained my private offer certificate from Ford prior to going to the dealership.

After going through the rounds they bring me my paperwork and show me brand new 2023 window sticker msrp post Feb and March 2023 price increases. No discounts, here is your walk out the door price! I quickly informed them of my certificate which they had no intention of bringing up to me, and told them I qualify for additional retail price protection that should be placed through the dealership. They immediately launch into a well-rehearsed script and claim no idea idea about additional levels of price protection. We couldn't even have a conversation about it because they immediately resorted to "Ford is promising things that don't exist" "the hourly employees on the phone just want to get off the call" "the internet message boards are full of nonsense" "if there was additional price protection we would love to give it to you" etc. etc.

So my follow up question here is what do I specifically and directly need to point them to in order for them to acknowledge the additional layers of protection I should be offered, which should be another $4,200. This is a mega dealer, there is no way I am the first to bring this up. Who should I get involved? My dealer rep will likely pitch the email in the trash. They did their best play stupid to me for 20 minutes and our conversation was going nowhere. I could really use the help, as this is substantial dollars I had no choice but to walk away from for the time being. Many thanks in advance for the assistance.

Finally got my window sticker and build date next Weds 4/26. I’m going in to talk to my dealer tomorrow to make sure we are on the same page. Big question is based on my order am I missing anything? Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

My build is a 2dr badlands non SAS. Original res and order early 2021 (pre March 2021)
MSRP on sticker: $53250
Order price on Dora: $50800 reorder 1/20/23
Private offer: $3425 verified cert# w/Ford
Order modification: $2500 dropped SAS 1/20/23
expecting a total of $8425 off $53250
Am I missing anything?

My new tactic is to wait for people like @OuterBankSquatch to respond to folks. ;)

But since I'm here...

Your dealer can talk to their Ford Sales and Inventory Specialist.

You didn't mentioned if you had the HD modular bumper on your order or not... but if you did there should be another $150.

Otherwise... you nailed it.

Here's hoping you get both the $3425 and the $2500 order mod together. I have not read of someone able to actually receive both.

I’ll send you the docs. Show them each doc. Print them out. Tell them they can look up the doc numbers in their own system. Print out the two rebates (midyear price increase, price protection and model your transition offer/private offer) ask one of the nice dealers on this forum to get you a screenshot of your model your transition offer. Armed With all that it’ll be extremely hard for them to deny you. The big problem is if they say “we’ll refund you if we get a refund” because there’s no way of knowing that they ever got refunded by ford

Please send me the doc for the retail price protection. I have verified the private offer certificate from FMC. My order is suppose to be at my dealership next Monday. My original MSRP was $29300 on 01/25/22 and shows $34095 on my delivered window sticker. The $2845 rebate from Ford is short $1950 and I feel my dealer will argue this difference next week. If I have something in print to show them hopefully they will cooperate with the rebate.

Part (1) of price protection, which everyone’s dealer seems to come around and offer, is the amount listed on the certificate available to the dealer in Smart Vincent. The certificate number and amount can also be verified by getting on the phone with Ford customer service. This is price protection from the price at the time of your 2021/2022 submitted order to the price increase at the start of the 2023 model year production.

Part (2) is the price protection for price increases within the 2023 model year. The prices have been raised 2-3 times, so this is harder to figure out but ALL of the information your dealer needs to verify this is available in these documents:
(1) C&I/Pricing Announcement: EFC12360
and
(2) C&I/Pricing Announcement: EFC12491

Huge thanks to @KompressorV12 for providing these above!

Small glitch here in that the dealer does not receive part (2) from Ford for 45-60 days after delivery. Because of this and bc it’s so hard to calculate the protections some dealers will opt to wait until Ford pays them, see what that amount is, and then cut you a check for that amount. I personally think that’s reasonable bc they don’t have great certainty on the amount they will get.

Hope this helps!

Ok, so here is a question I hope someone can help with concerning Retail Price Protection. OBTW, thanks for the document dump above!

I've had a BL 2dr order in since Feb 2021. I received a new DORA last fall for the 2023. I also received a new DORA on Jan 20th when I deleted the sins. I received the Build e-mail on 2 Mar and decided to remove the Leather Package on 8 Mar which generated a new DORA. The dealer DORAs I receive all have Retail and Invoice pricing.

OK, so here is the question. When I removed the leather on 8 Mar did I screw myself out of the Feb Retail Protection. In the screenshot above it says that I should be eligible unless "(changes to body code or PEP Package)". I know I didn't change body code...did I change PEP?

No, your PEP is the same.

PEP = Preferred Equipment Package. Which on the vast majority of Ford vehicles corresponds to trim level, and sometimes the equipment packages within that trim level (Std/Mid/High/Lux). On the Bronco it is weird, largely because the Sasquatch package being available on every trim level screws up the coding.

BUT regardless of the Bronco weirdness, adding or removing leather seats doesn't touch your PEP.

Update: at dealer today they will not offset the price increases since reorder on 1/20 they will give me both the private offer and the order modification…so the order mod $2500 is basically wiped out :(
