Ford has tunes with warranty that they offer for the 2.3 in their other vehicles. They come with a 3 year/36k mike warranty and a high performance air filter. This is the route I would take as it ads 45 hp and 60 lb ft tq.

I second that notion...

I hope that the bronco doesn't pipe in fake engine noises like they did with the other vehicles. Otherwise I'll going into the software and replace it with that of a Shelby cobra...

I still haven't got an answer on whether I could get the sound of two empty halves of coconuts banging together

That's what I'm talking about. That or nothing. I want no fake noices at all, and I'll just listen to the induction/turbo noises.

I am really hoping this is something I can even order from the 200 accessories as a DIA. Even if I can only install it after hitting x miles.

That is ACTUALLY a badass idea! We have been trying to figure out identifiers. I have 2 jeeps, one fsb, and an excursion...so the color palette has drawn me to pick a color not currently in the fleet (2 black, one red, one white), i have always called them by color (so blue is on the agenda), but patsy....good nickname!

Fastest way to turn an absolute beater POS into the coolest MoFo on the lot is to give it a catchy nickname!

My old CVCC .... The HOOPTEE!!!

The Delta 88 ... Paw paw

that's right, give the Grampa-mobile a Grampa nick name and you'll have a winner.
LOL
Ah, the good ol' days.

I can’t be the only one excited about the idea of shifting gears when the bronco rolls out. Looking forward to the possibilities for the engine after everything with the mustang and ranger.
As I've said repeatedly, Idc what the engine was, manual or bust.

I had a 2.3 in my old girl, she sadly was Auto, a stick would have made things a ton better. The engine and trans will be PB&J basically.

Went to PA this weekend, saw so many topless and doorless Jeeps, I can only imagine being among them in this beast, rowing my own gears

I’m almost completely in on the 2.3 Manual. Almost all of my cars have been manuals. The 2.7 has more power and more potential so I hesitate. I would tune either one, intercooler, downpipes, fuel system, maybe E30 or E85. At this point I will probably get the 2.3. Manual before manuals are just a memory and can always trade if I don’t like it.

The boy racer in me is like man the 2.7 would be great, but the purist knows no matter what the 2.3 with the stick will be more enjoyable. My goal for this vehicle is a cruiser with excellent off road capabilities.

The biggest mods I’ll probably do is full exhaust, big down pipe, intake, blow off valve for cool factor, and tune ?
Would those additions void the factory tune warranty?

2.3 mustangs on corn juice are making pretty good power. I can't stand automatics so good chance I'll go 2.3 and manual, I'll decide if I am going to mod it after I drive it for awhile. I have a project car , so any mods will probably be secondary to keeping that running and on the track.
Can you do the Ford Factory tune after you take it off lot, and then say you get it a year later, the warranty is only good for 2 more years?
