My Subaru has a version of this and it pretty much holds the brake on an incline or decline for you to help prevent stalling. What the hell does "Hill Descent Control" do in a manual?

Weight. Silly, I know, but there is no other explanation. This is what I don't understand. Why would 2.7L engine prevent sound deadening in the roof panels? ??? ?? ??
Okay? But now just saw you can't get roof rails with the V6 either.Weight. Silly, I know, but there is no other explanation.
Chris
I think that is hill start assist. Different from Hill Decent Control. My Subaru has a version of this and it pretty much holds the brake on an incline or decline for you to help prevent stalling.
My current build is a 4 dr 2.7 BD with roof rails and the headliner. Unless I'm missing something, B&P is letting me do it.Okay? But now just saw you can't get roof rails with the V6 either.
Great sleuthing, called it Saturday.
No worries, 3 minutes after it is available one of the dealers will leak it to Bronco6g.
Better question is why paint protection film not available with 2.7?This is what I don't understand. Why would 2.7L engine prevent sound deadening in the roof panels? ??? ?? ??
So does Ford think overlanders or other outdoor enthusiasts won’t be adding extra things like roof top tents etc? The more info that’s revealed the more I think I should wait for my2022.I would say the Vehicle Weight is definitely a concern then, CONFIRMED. I posted elsewhere but since they geared the springs for off-roading they are at their limits for the road with a full set of passengers.
How else could you explain the accessories being allowed to the 2-door?
Sorry, meant to include my build is BadlandsMy current build is a 4 dr 2.7 BD with roof rails and the headliner. Unless I'm missing something, B&P is letting me do it.
I agree, it's almost as if this were given to the B&P team, and they were told to "code it in, no questions." Like someone made this for upper management review, expecting to correct errors later, and the follow-up meetings never happened.I think either someone made this after using the build and price and just put it in pdf form or these are the options allowed and this information was sent to BN, dealerships as well as internal teams (like B&P).
My advice is to not freak out over any of this and just wait for the official order sheets. A leaked document riddled with spelling errors doesn’t seem like a good reason to lose your mind or cancel an order or call your dealer.
I'm a loner, Dottie. I'm not hauling around a bunch of passengers. So does Ford think overlanders or other outdoor enthusiasts won’t be adding extra things like roof top tents etc? The more info that’s revealed the more I think I should wait for my2022.
I know there is a hypothesis that GVWR is a limiting factor, but I just cannot see Ford designing a passenger vehicle that was THAT close to its GVWR.Sorry, meant to include my build is Badlands
The V6 weighs more than the I4. I know it's stupid, but is the only thing that makes any sense. Now... The paint protection film not being allowed...Okay? But now just saw you can't get roof rails with the V6 either.
