Been trying to locate a wind/whistling noise that is entering the cab just above the rear seats and was finally able to track it down. Looks like there is a gap between the trim and the upper window seal on the top rear corner. Not even a leak in the Hardtop!

Not sure if anyone has had this as a leak location before. If anyone has, any suggests on how to seal it besides using silicone? Would like a more elegant solution than silicone but might just use silicone to be honest.

Mine has this exact same issue, dealer says “all is normal” 🙄 Curious what you ended up doing to fix it?

I ended up using black silicone to seal it. I removed the panel and added a bead of black silicone when the seal is meant to touch the panel and then cleaned it up from the outside.(Also switched to a soft top since my last picture)

I’m not sure the difference between my 2023 OBX [MIC top] that I traded in on a 2025BL/SAS with a painted top but the sound level is amazingly better. I suspect Ford upgraded their seals and possibly the construction of the painted top is much better. It seems to be fiberglass. Plus, I had squash tires on the OBX and the new tread pattern seems to be greatly improved also with much less road noise.

While this thread keeps trending, does anyone notice worse wind noise in the winter? We have hot summers, and I suspect the AC blasting away pressurizes the cabin a bit.

I have this issue and assume the roof is expanding/shrinking with the weather changes.

I think the hot air escaping causes more whistle. Turn off the heat and you get less.

My top whistle more when it’s super cold. I agree the internal cabin pressure (heat / AC blowing) does influence the leaks and noise. But my top leaks so much, and is generally inconsistent, that manipulation of the HVAC yields inconsistent results.

Hell, I have a 2012 2Door JK and its top is wildly better & quieter.

Mine is worse in the winter with a crosswind blowing.

I couldn't even have a conversation with a friend in a crosswind. It was embarrassing, luckily it was a short trip and we were only on the highway for 8 miles.

I don't mind the noise much when I'm alone, but it really bothers me if someone else is in the vehicle.

I don't even bother turning on the radio for road trips anymore.

Hi all, I have a 2026 OBX Painted Hard top, has anybody tried this on something like that? Mine is pretty silent actually, I heard and read so many complains about noise on the Bronco that when I got mine I was actually surprised that it didn't feel any different than the 2023 Escape I traded-in. Now, you may say why the heck I want to do this? Well... the more the better right? (In this case the less the better lol)
Jokes aside, I saw that it's really easy to install and moreover it's cheap, there is still some little wind noise here and there, just wanted to check if somebody with a newer Bronco got any good results with this.
