“Transmission Not In Park” alert with doors off

2023 WildTrak, 4 Door Hardtop -

Here we go… Second glitch since the new babe came home. First was the back seat overhead light not turning off for nearly a week (now we just don’t touch it), but now the doors are off (tube doors on), and constant alerts saying “Transmission not in park” several times in a row once started. I press “Ok” and it comes on quite alarmingly two more rounds. Anyone know what’s going on?

I found that stepping on the brake real forcefully, when starting, keeps that from happening. I had it happen a few times, last year, in my 21 Wildtrak.

Put your seatbelt on then no alarm

Put your seat belt on, then hit ok.

It’s due to not wearing your seatbelt with the doors off. Every time you stop at a stop sign or red light it will happen.

I'm new to doors off and can't believe the messages! So far, I've ignored the trans warning and it goes away until I restart or stop....

Maybe you all have sone software glitch, but for me, as long as ever seat that registers a person has their seat belt on before I put it in drive/reverse, there is no transmission alert messages.

Correct, just on vehicle startup when getting into gear.

Mine does it too.... I've stopped calling it a bronco or raptor started calling it my "warning mobile" SOOOO tired of constantly clearing warning messages. I've had a couple of people tell me they wouldn't of put up with all the warnings and would have sold it.......

When doors are off, first thing you do before starting is put your buckle(s) on, then hit the Start button, but just tap it, not starting the Bronco, just start Accessory mode. After those 2 conditions are met, press your foot on the brake and start it up. You should have no messages.
This works for me every time.
