Wasn’t Josh designing something that would wrap some that would protect this? That is what I was holding out for.
@daddycreswell what say you? Will your application extend down to that lip?

new project - decide on how best to repair a scratch on the rocker panel.
Driver Side front door.
It wasn't there one day, then it was there the next day.
She blamed the shop but luckily I inspect and document service with pictures.
I have to assume the wife accidently scratched it with her boots or something.
She says no, and it really doesn't matter in the end.

I can for sure see how that can easily happen as the side step is tucked in tight and you will rub against that edge. So now to decide if I need to go further out with vinyl or add a full rocker panel protector from Ford. However I will need to do some research as I am not sure what is what based on their part numbers.

vs

there is also this option.
https://www.stage3motorsports.com/14117-21-22-bronco-4-door-bushwacker-trail-armor-rocker-panel.html

Or maybe I am over reacting and just need to fix the scratch , which I will do with just a touch up pen, but the proper way would be to have to repaired, but that is in such a minor place, might not be worth the effort.
That is a tough area to deal with. I am thinking, with my color (Area 51) of just doing an undercoating layer up to the rocker panel. The black will look good, but in my mind it won’t look as good on yours. Maybe a clear sheet type of protector?

Have you considered a coating like ceramic or graphene? They're especially touted for protection against acid, and one would think mineral, assaults from bird and tree droppings, dust, pollen, and water spotting.

Steamboat just got his graphene, so we'll see how that holds up. We get a complimentary first wash on Tuesday and our detailer is going to plotz when he sees how mud-spattered we got after yesterday's rain.
I’ve never really considered any type of coating, since I took care of all the detailing myself, but I think that I might have to look into it now. I will pay better attention on the forums to get other people’s thoughts before I decide which one to go with.

I like the idea of the clear vinyl , after I fix the scratch of course.
Perhaps this was just a fluke to set off my OCD. :)

Yesterday I took the Bronco off-roading for the first time with @AZMikeL and a couple of other local Bronco owners. All the Broncos made it through unscathed even though there were a few sketchy areas that tested out the skid plates. I'm definitely glad I went with a group as having spotters is a great asset.

P.S. - The Weathertech mud flaps did a pretty good job of keeping the rocks and dirt off of the paint, and they don't look as bad when they're covered in mud.

Yea.....I was but I have hit a snag. My production partner has let me down, so I am looking for someone else to help me.
Understood.. no rush..

Thanks @Alvin Olson! Yes, it's near New River, Arizona, about a half hour north of Phoenix.

Very nice.. I have driven through there a few times, but never did any off roading.
So much off road fun in the Phoenix area.
