Sucks yes but give them a chance to make it right before you walk away. I'll tell you nothing stays new for long, I'm waiting to have my front bumper replaced from a deer strike and I've made one payment! šŸ˜Ÿ

My dealer, in Sep 21, put in a 4dr instead of 2dr order "by mistake". Then couldn't change it.. They got it that December. This was a 4dr BL Sas in Cyber Orange w/high package. Why did they get a 4dr so fast but took 18m nearly to the day to get my gray 2dr (they stopped offering Cyber Orange in 23)? Good question. Especially since "nobody buys a 2dr" is the excuse I get the most often, except if that's the case, seems like they could've built it before then, since nobodies buying them? I assume they had a 4dr allocation, hoped I'd take it but didn't care if I didn't.
No they lied to you and hoped you wouldnā€™t take it.
When I first talked to a very large dealership in San Antonio about ordering one early this year. He said if the maket held they would probably offer me up to 10k to back out of the deal. Thatā€™s what they were doing to get Broncos ordered and on the lots. Anyway market didnā€™t hold and they ended up dropping the ball somehow and I ordered from a small Hill Country dealership. He said they would be glad if I didnā€™t take delivery but made no promises to buy me out of taking it.

It has been 1095 days since I placed my reservation. Ford Tracker said it delivered last week. Dealer says it is stuck at rail yard. I figure some day 1 reservation folks beat me on this dubious honor but curious what the longest wait has been.

**Update - Dealer called this morning. Pick up at 2:00. Arrive and they have it up front waiting. Do a walk around and notice 2 rock chips on the hood. They run it back to body/paint. Wait an hour. Body shop manager comes out apologizing and says they found a bunch more on the doors. "Mileage is 140 miles so maybe it was driven down a gravel road". They are going to hash out with Ford what to do. If paint shop fixes it, it will take 2-4 weeks.

Disappointed is an understatement....NOT SURE I WANT IT ANYMORE....
I personally would not take it. Guaranteed you will be able to tell it was repainted, so will anyone who you eventually sell it to.

Did it not occur to any of you long timers to switch dealers? At what point did you know that just like it always is, dealer volume determines number of allocations. I'm guessing you were with very small dealers?
I "switched" dealers after being informed of a $10K dealer markup. Actually, I placed a 2nd order nearly a year later with a new dealer (who honored MSRP), and changed my original order right before the blend date and they were BOTH BUILT 1 WEEK APART! My original build is STILL ON THE DEALERS LOT after 1 full year! Ironically, today is the 1st anniversary date! KARMA to greedy stealerships BEOTCH!!!

You guys with 1100+ days wait should order ADV hardtops. You don't want the "wait endlessly" muscle to go weak.

Hate to say it but IF this is the Bronco you want and IF the dealer is not ripping you off with some last minute surprise ADM....you have waited this long...suck it up and wait a couple more weeks.

I know it sucks...the hardest wait for me at 874 days was once the Bronco shipped, it took 3 emotional months to actually arrive. The end is the hardest wait of it all.

1095 you're practically a new order :)

I'm at 1223 Today and my Bronco is finally in transit, as Ford would say "Hang in there".
I knew I could not be the longest

3 months in transit is brutal! Mine was built in May snd sitting just out of reach but if it said shipped all that time you expect it any dayā€¦..
My issue at this point is do I want a repainted new vehicle at end of model yearā€¦.

Ford completely screwed up the reservation system, they should be ashamed. I waited one year for mine and actually felt guilty because I never had a reservation and when I went to Bronco Safari there were several folks still waiting that had early reservations.
Thanks Ford for being so disorganized and ruining so many peopleā€™s trust.
I love my Bronco but am not thrilled about the many issues I hear about how Ford is honoring warranties.
It will be worth it in the end.
Blame the dealers that took orders they knew they were not getting, Small dealers that sell a couple of hundred cars at best a year should not have been allowed to take over 1000 or more orders...

A brand new vehicle with 140 miles and rock chips? I guess you can wait to see it until it gets back, but without a steep discount, I wouldn't touch it. You just have to wonder what goes on sometimes.

Yeah I gotcha.... Tough call. You may want to check changes between your 2023 and what you can even get.

For fun I went onto Ford's site and tried to re-build my 2022 (which I got in Dec of 2022 while 2023s were already being delivered).

I was blow away with what I could NOT order now. They really changed alot..for example my cloth seats, High package, and built in NAV...none of which can be ordered now.

I picked mine up in May '23 exactly 1020 days after I reserved it . Thankfully I must have gotten a good one as I have had zero issues thus far. Maybe it is a sliver lining that those of us who waited so long may have lucked out and got a Bronco with the kinks worked out. Mine was built on a Wed so that may have helped as well :)
Hang in there !

Makes you wonder what really went on with your Bronco with 140 miles on it. My JL Rubi was delivered with 8 miles on it, my Bronco had 11 miles on it when I bought it off the lot, fresh from the delivery truck. My sons dealership is shady sometimes as they let the sales staff and managers drive new cars & trucks for personal use and sell them as new with 100+ miles on them. We were escorted around town one night by his boss in a brand new Expedition Max that he turned into a party bus. Wonder who bought that one, lol. I'm sure the average buyer doesn't care though.

Those rock chips are gonna happen anyways... new ford paint is hilariously weak.

Let em fix it and take the thing. You HAVE been waiting 3 years... to not accept it because of rock chips... that are going to happen anyways... would be a waste imo.

I would never accept a vehicle from a paint shop that I can see where it was repaired. I donā€™t know why people do. If a good shop does it, itā€™s impossible to tell. If you can tell say NO try again.

Iā€™d accept the bronco after paint correction if they give a good discount or throw in an extended warranty or something.

In 2016 our used 2015 Ruby Red Mustang had all the rock chips fixed at the dealership before we took delivery and it still looks amazing. Even had hail damage fixed 2 years ago and no way to tell it ever had damage. It does have a few new rock chips of course.
