I posted this in the other thread, but it's relevant here:

I placed an order for a 4-door, Hard Top. 2.7 SAS TODAY. So it's definitely possible.

Not necessarily, could be as short as a few months if it’s a dealer with lots of volume and bronco sport sales
Yep. It could be quick. It could be slow.

Yep. That's exactly what I think it is. And trust me it's most likely my fault. The Universe kicks me in the nuts like that all the time. I ordered the 2.7 and now it's blowing up. If I ordered the 2.3 that would be the one having issues. Sorry guys!!😭
On a site like this, the minority negative news will be amplified. It's likely that of the vehicles sold so far, the great majority of the 2.7 engines are working just fine.

Considering there's not that many Broncos even delivered its pretty concerning. And not all of them are 2.7s

Well, I am glad that we know that, now. Everyone who had a 2.7 engine fail, and those of us with them on order who have any worries about it, we now know that you, personally are to blame. You chose to order the 2.7, and by so doing, brought your inherent curst to the entire line of them.
Yes. That's exactly what I said. 😭🤣

Agreed, if this was a widespread defect you’d be seeing it picked up by mainstream sources. Also seems like a lot of people chirping in those 2.7 threads are 2.3 customers justifying their engine choice.

Tried ordering a 2.7 unit this week and dealer said order wouldn' take because 2.7 is a "controlled commodity"?? Anyone have any insight...never heard of that before.

Yea, I had the same thing nov 11th. At a dealership in PA.. I contacted another dealership the next day and they were able to place the order with the 2.7. I received the confirmation email from Ford w/in a week. Order is still not showing up on the Ford website but I did reach out to them and they told me not to worry- the order is there…
