I have been looking at the pictures of the 2.7L in the Bronco and it looks like a snakes nest under the hood. I was hoping it was pre-production only although I am now thinking it's probably the way it's going to be. I remember looking (and test driving) a 2019 F-150 last year with the 2.7L and I remember it looking so clean under the hood. I could see the cylinder heads, valve covers and the two turbos in the back. I loved the engine layout and it seemed relatively simple to access key areas and service it. I also looked at a Ranger with the 2.3. The 2.3 was also nicely laid out and looked relatively easy to service.
Does anyone have an F150 with the 2.7 and have photos of the engine bay to compare to the Bronco? I am wondering why the Bronco would look so disorganized under the hood versus the F150. Perhaps it's that the F150 has a larger engine bay? And also how about the 2.3L in the Ranger versus the Bronco- is it also visibly more messy and disorganized under the hood?
I am concerned about maintenance- if you can't get to anything under the hood it's going to be a lot of labor and/or a major repair bill.
