Coming from a couple of modded Subaru’s, this is all true! A couple of bolt ons can turn into a much bigger project. I bought my Subbies fully intending to mod them as I will with the Bronco. If it gets the 2.3 ecoboost, it’s already proven to take mods well. I will have a lot of research to do.

Bigger than the 2.7TT apparently. One of the slightly leaky insiders at BOF ...

No 2.7 EB in Bronco, doesn’t make sense to have that and 2.3 EB.....
You need to think bigger......
No more clues, just know that whatever it is, Jeep has nothing coming to match it. B R is a different skill set to Wrangler.
"well theres been a bunch harping about the desire for the 5.0...but I would doubt that..."
I guess it’s down to what Bronco buyers expect in an iconic vehicle and what Ford can deliver.
As frontline sales person, which has the better perception, a V8 Bronco or a TTV6 Bronco, is one above the other or both equally desirable?
im wondering if that HP powertrain finds its way ( amortised) in other product (s) maybe in the US and other places....

Oh my. The plot thickens. 3.0TT, 3.5TT? Something new altogether? Is it the Barra? IS IT THE BARRA!?!?

I would be good with any of the ecoboost motors as I fully intend to modify the bronco. The 3.5tt would be amazing.

If it's a choice between a big torque engine like the 3.5 and the manual that tops out at 405lbft, which would you rather the raptor have?

If it's only the 2.3 and the 3.0 hybrid that I'm assuming will be $50k + I'm gonna head out...

I'd begrudgingly accept the auto with the bigger engine over the manual so long as it had a full manual mode with paddle shift and those nice magnesium paddle shifters from the raptor. Unless it's a hybrid. I'll be pretty disappointed if the 'raptor' is hybrid only, then I might start looking at doing some mods to the 2.3 and grafting on raptor gear...I dunno

And for those wondering why I really don't want a hybrid...I'm not commuting with this so fuel economy doesn't matter, and the extra weight is significant and more of a detriment than the power boost. From an aviator hybrid review: "The battery and all the electric components add about 700 pounds to the weight of the non-hybrid Aviator, which is quite noticeable at the wheel"

I wouldn’t want the 2.3 ecoboost if I were keeping it stock but the tuned ecoboost mustangs are making over +100 HP to the wheels and about the same amount of Torque and that, along with a manual transmission would make for a very fun Bronco!

I could live with the 2.7, has good low end torque. The 2.3 would be a deal breaker for me don't want a 4 banger.
I more interested in a 2 door competition orange with white top..............with cloth seat and rubber mat on the floor.

I'd tell you to get out of my head, but I'd tolerate the 4banger if that's the only way you could get a stick
