I just got my 2022 Badlands Saturday and it does not have the temp on the dials. If you look at the screen shot of my console screen you can see it displays the temp for each side all the time on the top left and right with the far right being the outside temp.

So, my 2022 Wildtrak originally had the newer plain knobs. The HVAC controls malfunctioned and I brought it in for service. They just returned it to me with the digitial display knobs installed and working correctly!

Normally I wouldn't be as concerned because my Flex lacked physical knobs, but I hate how Sync4 puts the external temperature closest to the passenger instead of the middle of the status bar like Sync3.

As best as I can tell, the part number should be M2DZ-19980-D, at least for vehicles with heated steering wheels and rear defroster on the hardtop. It's not inexpensive.

Wish I had looked at mine to see what the non-temp-display model part number was when I had it apart to install the auto start stop eliminator.

Never had them, so I don’t miss them. Easy to see the temps on the center display. One less component to fail.

Would that part work with a high package (no heated steering wheel), just with the heated wheel button being non functional?

I'd imagine so. Either just one less connector to plug in, or the bigger harness just has some unused pins.

I apologize if this has already been answered on this thread earlier, but are any FORSCAN tweaks needed or is this a plug and play thing?

Anyone noticing that the MY22 Broncos are missing the temperature on the knob? Shoutout to @BroncoBoi for finding this.

Versus MY2021 for reference

Temperature display now appears at the top of the infotainment touchscreen display.

You'll have to update the poll for MY23 here in a few months!

That one is a little out of my depth. If I was a betting man I'd say no FORSCAN needed, to my knowledge there was not a change to the wiring harnesses themselves between the model years nor have I seen MY specific harnesses in the parts pages. The output of that info from the HVAC system is still there, just only displayed on the sync screen for MY22.

Does the temp show on the knobs for MY23?
I honestly can't see Ford adding that functionality back in, but we won't know till someone takes delivery of a MY23.
