The better question is how many overdrives? My mustang has a 1:1 in 4th, then 2 overdrives.
I could see a L, then 4th being 1:1 with two overdrive gears.

I heard long ago that R can only be , left and up ...OR ....right and down. Not sure how correct that is.
I have only ever seen those two shift patterns for reverse though.

My Jeep is right and down. Kind of annoying tbh having reverse and 1st halfway across the damn planet from each other. Having a quick shift between em would be nice for day to day and off road.

I don’t care what pattern it is, just make sure there is an option for a manual! The interior pics make it look viable but waiting for confirmation is painful.

1970’s Triumph Spitfire has up and right. If you weren’t careful, every once in while shifting into third you’d hit reverse and come to a crashing halt. Up and right is a baaad idea.
