and you have to get the CV's because the spine count on the Ultimate FDU is different than stock.
Pretty soon that Base is going to cost more than a Raptor. :ROFLMAO:

Oh yeah, Mine will get very spendy over the next 10 years. I don't feel a need for anything bigger than 37's currently, but if my grandkids get into it I could see bigger tires. And I don't think I would want to do anything serious with 40's or larger with the stock axle shafts and CV shafts.

Someone said it already, find a wrecked bronco and swap in their dana 44.

If you want to get serious, Spicer does have a Ultimate Dana 60 Semi Floating rear axle built specifically for the Bronco. The one they did for the Jeep is $2975, and there is no pricing for the bronco unit yet. (they also have a extreme front drive unit, and axle shafts.)
Available in every gear ratio BUT 4.46!!

I have been keeping an eye out for a used/salvage 4.46 with elocker but I think this will be a real unicorn bc it comed stock on a very very small number of Broncos manufactured.

Also....if you do find yourself at a junk yard or on Copart looking to replace an axle, look at the manufacturing sticker on the door jamb. There is a code on there for the axle type, it is item 8 below

and here is what the different axle codes correlate to:

This is a great piece of information for future hunters. Thank you. I know it's available elsewhere on the forum, but anyone looking specifically for a secondhand locker will hopefully find it here more easily.
