Yeah, there is a shortage of truck drivers right now. Impacts are being felt everywhere honestly... but seems to be hitting the plains states and midwest the hardest.

I know several vehicles being delivered to my dealership sat in the rail yard for 3 weeks because there wasn't enough available truck drivers to pick them up for last-mile delivery to the dealership.
Time to get our country moving again. Time to get people back to work like pre-Covid. You would think people would need jobs with the economy like it is. Sad to see that we have come to this way of life that can be changed so quickly!

Just got of the phone with Ford Customer Service and was provided with good information. I , like a lot of us in this build week am still In production status. I have had confirmed several times that my Bronco has been built and has no plant holds on it. Other words it is built and ready to ship, but they are having problems getting vehicles shipped due to a drivers shortage.

My status won't update to built until my build can be scheduled to ship. I currently have ship to dealer date of 8/19. The customer rep told me that date most likely will not be met and to check back next Monday for my new estimated delivery window. This will go on week by week until I get scheduled for delivery.

We have all made it this far. Does it surprise anyone that the last step of this process is not any different than it is? LOL

Same here SASOBX. My dealer is basically downtown. But what’s good for you is good for me. The 19th is the date they keep telling me too.

I have even resorted to checking the 8/8 build group to see if any others are out our way, with the thought of maybe they would rather send one truck than two. Toxic optimism 😂

I look at it like this , I would rather have it built and waiting on shipping than a plant hold for a chip or supply chain part shortage.

Every step along the way has had good and bad, but the final step of driving that bad boy of the lot will be all good.

100%. I was worried it was part shortage too but I’d also much rather wait on shipping. Saw two cactus gray Wildtraks on the parkway this morning. We will be out there soon.

Yes we will. Soft top or hard top. I have only seen a few hardtops in our area. I love the look of the hard top and glad that I waited it out for one.

Just unbelievable to me that one of the largest companies in the world have a problem delivering their product, and yet companies like Apple, and others, will roll out new phones in a few weeks and will have them available for their customers. You would think that Ford would have had shipping contracts established months ago for all their products. This is how they make money by delivering their products. Jim Farley and others should be shaking the world to get these products out!!! No more excuses! Just so terribly disappointing!

I wonder how in the world will Ford-E (All Electric division of Ford) will deliver their new electric vehicles to people without Dealer intervention when people order them online. Will they deliver directly to customers homes??? Or will they pick a dealer, then ship to them and you have to go to that dealer (maybe miles out of your way) to pick up your electric vehicle. If they can't deliver in a timely manner a vehicle built in their factory and delivered in traditional methods, then how will they be able to delivery 100s of thousands of Lightnings, Mach-Es, etc.??? Ford needs to re-think what they are doing because they will lose customers if they can't get products out and delivered.

To be completely fair to Ford... a single semi-truck can carry 600,000 - 700,000 iPhones. That same semi-truck can only carry maybe 6 or 7 Broncos.
You are a 100% correct, but at least they are shipping... just wish they could get the shipping issue resolved.

Haha, I'm in the 8/15 build group and I'm lurking here to see what kind of heartache I have to look forward too. Toxic pessimism haaha

This entire process has been brutal and painful to watch. These delays on the home stretch are just twisting the knife....... Sad state of affairs we are in pretty much across the board. I won't even think about purchasing another vehicle until (hopefully) some number of years down the road when things are sorted back out.

i wish it where like this we bought a Tesla All online they made the car shipped it to the showroom where they set the car up and they spend time going over the car with you. No commission everyone pays the same amount it was the best car buying experience we’ve ever had. The person was super nice and just on salary can you imagine that?
