So?

Which other mainstream manufacturer offers three enthusiast cars that normal Americans can afford? I’ll wait.
Ford for one. Bronco, Mustang, F150 Raptor. That's not even counting the ST versions of other models, and the GT which doesn't fit your criteria.

IDK... It's not really what I wanted, but it's looking like it'll be quicker & easier to get a 2024 4runner than the Bronco I reserved in 2020.

I sold a Very Nice 2018 Toyota 4Runner this past summer for my next Bronco.

It was very nice, but not going back.

I get that this is a Bronco (and as such, a Ford) forum, but there are other manufacturers that make decent vehicles. 4Runners are solid, dependable, and capable vehicles. However, unless the 4Runner goes topless and manual, I'll be sticking with the Bronco. Once I'm tired of those two attributes in a daily driver, the Bronco will be relegated to fun duty and I'll get a replacement.

For quite a while, I was getting focus group stuff for the 6g 4Runner. There were questions about sway bar disconnect, manual transmission, etc, etc. It sounded like from the questions I got, that they were potentially going to make it more off road focused than the current gen, which is a good off road vehicle to begin with.

IDK I'm at 26 months now & based on how allocations have been looking, I've got 2 more years left to wait.

Unfortunately most of us (myself included) started counting at the wrong time. I waited longer than that (877 Days or 28 months) if I include reservation stamps too. I reserved July 14th 2020 and I just got mine last week.

In fairness though, Ordering didn't start for 9 months after reservations, and assembly didn't start for another 3 months beyond that in Mid-June 2021.

With that said.... Ford is cranking them out now. If you dont have a build date, you will soon. Make sure you have a good and transparent dealer who will show you what your priority code is.

Its a great truck.... Keep waiting.

Hah well, it’s been a long painful wait for the aftermarket to make stuff for the Bronco. I’d hate to reset that wait for 4Runner gear. So let me give it a maybe, however I still take my top off nearly every single day.

Lucky me. I have nothing to trade in for a 4 Runner. Maybe I'll put in an order for the 4 runner and see which one comes first.
I'm giving Ford till 2023. If it doesnt come. I'll trade my mustang in for it.

Nope with a side of nope. That new tundra is about the ugliest truck I have ever seen. Quality is not what it used to be for yotas. Love my broncos they are not for everyone but there is nothing else like them. And yes I have owned a jeep.
