If I go base, I'm in the same boat. I searched threads and the hitch appears to be a 4 bolt application....unless you want to wire it, then it's a bit more complicated.
You can. It will be provided by Ford parts or third party. This will not be an issue.

Thank you - any other thoughts on what you're missing on a base + sas? This will be far from a daily driver and it seems like everything else is just comfort based or something that probably be customized aftermarket as good or better.

I don't really care about the mid or other packages as I want to keep price down. If I go base, I'm going to watch this forum for the bumpers, etc. that will eventually go on sale and build it up from there.

BaseSquatch with 2.7 is going to be a beast. Join us.
Out of my 9 possible builds, the basesquatch v6 is the one my inner child screams for the most. I just don't know if it can yell louder than my old fat ass or my wallet. Lol.

Man, you hit the nail on the head. I see you're BB too, but like you that Basesquatch is talking to my (second) inner child (hood). For the same money I can get a BB with all the equipment I need and a few niceties. But for the same money I can get Sasquatch which is, well, a Sasquatch.

With a BB I'll eventually upsize tires just a smidge, with the Sas I'd downsize tires quite a bit (much narrower and 33").

What to do.

Set of 17x9 wheels and 285 70/17 c-rated tires once the originals wear out or I get bored

I'm planning on using the Reward Points to buy the floor mats from the parts department.
Rumor has it, carpeted mats are standard, but they leave them out when you order the floor liners. I want both!

now that is exactly the kind of advice i was hoping to find.

Do we know what kind of flooring the base model has? Is it fully carpeted? If so, is there a drain plug under it?

If memory serves they all have the stamp in the floor for a plug, but doesn't have the plug itself.

4 Door Base
Velocity Blue
2.3
Automatic
Sasquatch
Floor Liner
Aux Switches

Okay....have been waffling the last couple of days of maybe bouncing to a Big Bend, mainly for the heated seat availability, but I can recover in leather and get heat for less than half of the cost difference. Staying Base!!

When you do the wheels and tires you're looking to upgrade, will you need a lift? I'm just looking at bigger wheels and tires for Base-base, but don't know yet what the max size will be for stock height.

Anyone know if possible/how hard it would be to wire a front camera or any other cameras to use the built in screen? Seeing those trail cams at KOH made me jealous lol.
