You’re not wrong about the interior quality. The BaseSquatch with the 2.7L for around 44K was an amazing deal and made it so you could overlook some of the quality concerns. It’s hard to do when you drop 65K on a top of the line WT.

Exactly The $40,000 wranglers same deal but at 65k it needs to be way better than it is top-of-the-line Jeep interior is amazing

I have to say after driving jeeps for the past 24 years and recently purchasing a bronco Lux wildtrak the build quality feels like a Kmart special on the bronco compared to the higher end rubicons….. and there is way too much electronic shit happening ….still digging it though

I get it. I get your point, I came from a Jeep JL Sahara all build up and ready to rock crawl. I feel like my Bronco’s BL plastic interior is no different than an 1999 Ecosport with a bunch o cheap plastic all around vs my previous Jeep which was mostly leather. If you look from afar, Bronco’s interior looks more lux. But if you go inside and start touching things, you will see it may not be the case. Despite that, and the fucking windows bad design - I had a 2018 mustang convertible and those frameless windows do not flap AT ALL, so not sure what Ford was trying to do here - but anyway, despite all that, at the end of the day, I still love my Bronco way more and the seats and comforts are night and day more comfortable than any Jeep will ever be. Plus the cheap interior is way easier to clean and replace when needed. And most importantly, no more sciatica and sciatic never pain and painful lower back for me!

Broncos now days have lots of electronics--as all vehicles do-- but still this site has numerous comments about, "It should have had cooling seats, it should have had power mirrors...it should have had a hands free driving system...it should have...it should have..it should have.. Can't have it both ways.
Maybe I’m just lucky, I went with a Big Bend to avoid paying for all the assist systems I hate in my wife’s Acura. So all I have is blind spot warning and back up sensors plus the connected Navigation. After 14 months and 11000 miles I’ve had zero issues, no warning lights, one Air Play glitch corrected with a delete and reinstall and no rattles or squeaks. To me, all those systems in a Bronco or Wrangler are overkill and detract from the enjoyment of driving it. Hoping Ford can straighten out these issues but since they also seem prevalent in Lexus and BMWs, it seems they’re the nature of the beast.

I will say the BRaptor interior is nice and I like it a lot. $90,k nice? Maybe, maybe not considering the plush interior of similarly priced F150 Limited. That’s said, mechanically the fun has made it worth it so far. Personally I like a little more heft weight to my truck doors when closing and these do feel a bit light, typically synonymous with cheap. But they’ve held up fine and so long as welds don’t crack and nothing starts squeaking, I guess I’m alright with them.

I have owned two jeeps,87 YJ and a 2016 4DR. Rubicon. Oil leaks, front end issues, 6 speed shifter fell off while wheeling, swaybar disconnect light on and off, wheel speed senor and on and on. Poor fit and finish. I am

not a fan of JEEP which has changed hands so many times I don't know who makes them. The wave and the ducks, you can have them!

I’m confused if the Bronco is so shitty why did you buy it. My Bronco has been great so far with 25,000 miles and it’s so much better than my Jk Rubicon. My wife actually enjoys taking it on long trips and dreaded it in our Jeep. I guess different strokes.

I don’t want bells and whistles. I’d get rid of all of the electronics (except the A/C & radio) if I could. I’d be fine if the exposed door and interior panels were smooth metal. But those cheap, plasticky panels are worse than the plastic on the Barbie toy Mustang I bought my daughter 20 years ago. And making the windows work correctly isn’t exactly rocket science either. I’d happily take roll up (manual lift) windows if they didn’t rattle like crazy.

We've had both a 22 4dr Wildtrak Lux and now my long awaited special order 23 2dr Wildtrak Lux. Both are night and day better than the 05 Rubicon we previously had--on the highway and around town. Off road it is equivalent, and in some cases, on more extreme trails--much better. Mostly due to those electronic features, front differential clearance and ease of locker engagement either front or rear, low range of not.
The Sasquatch Bronco, like the Rubicon Jeep, is a purpose built offroad vehicle that performs excellently right out of the box. It is not an Explorer or a grand Cherokee. If we want comfort and luxury while driving around the 'burbs, we drive the wife's Lincoln.
My wife--an experienced Moab trail driver--says driving the Bronco offroad is like off-roading in her Lincoln (relative to our previous Rubicon).

Regarding price: when Ford (like all manufacturers) were having trouble building our ordered Bronco, I priced a similarly equipped Rubicon and it was $5k more. I bought the 22 from a flipper just in case my order was cancelled. When our order arrived we traded the 4dr--received full sticker trade allowance getting money back. This after owning it a year, driving 10k miles and on 6 offroad adventures. Not a bad investment.

I love this Bronco and have outfitted it with a Trektop, Warn winch, frame rock sliders, Baja bumper lights, safety/recover; gear and will retrofit a Badlands hydraulic Stabar disco this week. BTW, try the electic Stabar disco on a Jeep while articulated... After 2 jeeps, 4 G1 Broncos, 1 G2 Bronco, a couple of Expeditions and Explorers, this is a keeper!

I will say the interior plastics in the Bronco are poor by even Ford standards. I expect the ultra-cheap plastics originated when Ford started choosing materials to build the Bronco at its original price point but today they are charging a lot more than their original floor. One of the first thing most people comment when seeing a Bronco in person for the first time is how cheap the interior looks and feels. Now Ford doesn't have to invest in a complete overhaul of the interior as this should be a simple fix of upgrading some interior panels in high visibility areas as most manufacturers have figured out ways of hiding the cheap plastics or distracting eyes from the cheap panels by sprinkling in a few quality pieces whether it be soft touch or higher quality finishes in key areas. Not the end of the world if they don't make improvement because interior quality probably shouldn't be high on your priorities when purchasing this type of vehicle but inventory is building up so they probably should consider making the interior a little more attractive in hopes of swaying some buyers that may be on the fence hesitant to shell out $$$ for a vehicle that has a Fisher Price looking interior on first inspection.

I was wondering the same thing like what was said above. Did you do your homework or even look at this vehicle before you bought it? And should of went Badlands cause this year the interior is upgraded and much better then every trim except the Braptor!

I think the term build quality connotes poor workmanship, but that isn’t what you meant. We’re talking about materials choice, and I cannot disagree that the plastics look cheaply made.

Coming from a Lincoln (and my wife also drives a Lincoln,) I can attest that Ford can do a nice interior. Do I expect a Lincoln like environment in a Bronco? Not really, but the Bronco is more expensive than some Lincolns, so it would be nice if the materials were better than those from a 1980s truck.

😂

I was not saying I wanted any of those thing just that the build quality of what is there is cheap as shit plastic garbage i’ve driven Jeeps for 24 years so I’m used to the utilitarian simpleness, but it is of a superior quality compared to the bronco …. Especially at a $68,000 price tag. They need to step it up. I will Enjoy it for three years or four years if it doesn’t fall apart before then 😂
There aren’t many issues with the Bronco build quality. You just paid $70K for a $30K truck dude; jokes on you.

It’s an off-roader, which you say you’ve owned. Well, I off-road mine constantly; nothing broken. Shit is dirty because the woods are dirt, but nothing broken.

For reference, I have the lux pack on my 2.7 BadSquatch, so it’s loaded in that respect, but was $57K which is normal these days for something like this and I have everything you do in that Widtrak minus the FOX shocks, which I wish I did, but still, over $10K cheaper for this 2023.

Bronco is a Base trim, with a bunch of crap bolted on to off-road and appease the whiny suburbanites who demand the most out of their mall-crawler. So, there’s nothing luxury about it, it’s’ not built like a Benz or Bimmer and it shouldn’t be.

Further, a Wrangler has no parts inside of higher build quality. Wranglers have been cheap plasticy raw trucks for years. I just wheeled with a few 2024s just yesterday. Nice for an Off-roader, but nothing screams luxury quality at all, but I’ve owned many actual luxury cars and SUVs and this ain’t that. However, I couldn’t drag any of those on a trail as all the plasticy crap is low hanging on the outside including this rather new Range Rover Sport at home.

Can’t have it all, people.

My last Jeep interior in the Mojave was metal and leather – stitched dash. super nice as were the quality all of the Control knobs, shifter and steering wheel…. I’m digging the bronco I just wish it was better quality
You should have bought a BRaptor rather than a Wilktrak.
