UGH... I want the interior to have the Area 51 accent not the orange!!!! Can't it match my vehicle color choice?!
Not sure if this was answered today by anyone else; I was told that each trim will get the corresponding color match interior accents. Additionally that a neutral black and/or grey option will be available on all trims.

Looking forward to seeing hundreds of Broncos in the metro area with rooftop tents that get used twice a year. I'm really starting to dislike this term (overlanding) and the posers it attracts.

New Bronco Overland Concept Underscores Ford’s Off-Road Brand Accessories Game at Largest Bronco Enthusiast Gathering

Overland-Bronco-Concept-1.jpg

TOWNSEND, Tenn., Oct. 7, 2020 – In honor of the largest North American gathering of classic Ford Broncos, Ford revealed a Bronco Overland concept to kick off this year’s Bronco Super Celebration East in Townsend, Tenn.

Based on the all-new Bronco four-door model, the concept will be on display at the annual off-road event alongside the all-new Bronco two-door and Bronco Sport 4x4 models to give fans a chance to see the only domestic all-4x4 family of off-road SUVs in the metal.

With personalization and factory-backed accessories essential to Ford’s all-new outdoor brand, the Bronco Overland concept showcases how the all-new Bronco two-door, four-door and Sport models are designed to help redefine the next generation of off-road vehicles.

Based on a 2021 Bronco four-door SUV Badlands™ series painted in Area 51 color scheme, the concept is fully equipped inside and out to take adventurers farther into the wild. It features the High-Performance Off-road Stability Suspension (H.O.S.S.) System with Bilstein® position-sensitive dampers, 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine with class-exclusive 7-speed manual transmission, with 17-inch Fifteen52™ Turbomatic heavy-duty wheels in asphalt black and 35-inch BFGoodrich® LT315/70R-17 mud-terrain KM3 tires for better off-road traction.

Up front, the Bronco Overlander concept features a Ford Performance by WARN® winch mounted to a Ford Performance modular steel bumper to help adventurers negotiate tough, rocky terrain. A heavy-duty two-person tent from Yakima™ and a factory roof rack are mounted to the roof rails with a 1x40 RIGID™ rack-mounted light bar and six additional RIGID POD lights in a 360 configuration for improved lighting all around. A tall CB antenna is mounted to the rear bumper.

The rear is setup to be the center of basecamp and includes an ARB refrigerator, cooking kit and stove mounted to a cargo management system. The refrigerator has a slide-out tray for easy access, while a tailgate table and chairs complete the campsite. The rear quarter window glass has rigid panels with MOLLE grids mounted inside for additional rear cargo area storage.

Is it just me, or does this bronco look like it needs a little lift to clear those tires?

What, you don't like making your vehicle top heavy and driving around everywhere with a bum/refugee tent on the roof in case ADVENTURE STRIKES AT ANY TIME?

I bet you don't even have an Instagram account, bro.

According to Goodyear, MT stands for Maximum Traction. But, Goodyear also states that the tire is a great mud tire.

Per Tire Rack:

The Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar® (MT/R - Maximum Traction/Reinforced) is Goodyear's Off-Road Maximum Traction tire developed for light truck driving enthusiasts who take off-road traction seriously. The Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar is designed to increase tire toughness when it conquers mud, crawls over rocks and explores trails.

The Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar features a silica rubber tread compound molded into an asymmetric tread design that combines off-road traction with on-road handling and wet traction. Goodyear's advanced mud-flow geometry tread design enhances self-cleaning capabilities while shoulder blocks (which alternate being stepped in and out) and a wraparound tread design on the upper sidewall increase traction in mud, sand, ruts and rocks. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts and is Goodyear's first off-road tire to incorporate Dupont Kevlar, an innovative material that's, pound for pound, five times stronger than steel. The use of Kevlar sidewall reinforcement brings enhanced cut and puncture resistance to an area of the tire that demands extra toughness when driving off-road (increasing sidewall cut and puncture resistance by about 35% compared to the original Wrangler MT/R). The Kevlar also helps stabilize the sidewalls when drivers return to the pavement for the ride home.

Off-Road Maximum Traction light truck tires, which are often called mud tires, are branded with the M+S symbol, but their typical oversize applications, use of extra-large smooth lugs and minimal snow-biting sipes often challenges an Off-Road Maximum Traction tire's on-road wintertime traction in slush, packed snow and on ice.

if they aren't mud terrain then why does it have an MT on it???
I know the goodyear territory tire is new and has been used in Canda and has been described as more of an all terrain tire but why call it an MT for mud terrain if its not a MT?

I had a Tuffy tailgate security enclosure that worked perfectly with both hard and soft tops for my JKU.
I was on Jeep forums for years and was not aware that some had this issue. Perhaps, I just came along after solutions like the Tuffy and it wasn't a hot topic anymore?
Seems to be an issue with the JL

I just think its funny, and sorry if its been said but, its funny that the overlander, a fully loaded down 4 door seems to be fine with 2.3 MT and 35 inch tires. Granted we havent had it test driven on the road but Ford seems confident.

Ford Bronco Bronco Overland Concept Revealed! With Live Debut Video & Pics From Super Celebration East 9B4869E1-3503-4A22-990D-376BBBA31BC5

it’s the 3.8 liter with 6 speed manual and 4.10 gears. The tires are 34’s... and weighs 6,000 pounds fully loaded.

The 2.3 with another 65 horsepower and 65 ft-lbs, way better torque curve, and significantly better gearing will be just fine with a Bronco. It’s just that the 2.7 will be way more fun.

yeah - I need to dog proof that back area, carpet just doesn't wear well with pup slobber and mud feet
I bought aftermarket setup for the wife's GC since the seats are always folded down for the 2 large dogs. Will probably do something similar for the Bronco.

Is that the gray MIC top on the overlander rig? Actually doesn't look disgusting there.

The most important part of this project demo vehicle...this is our Sasquatch package and it has a 7 speed manual.
