Posted this in another’s thread. In this shot, it looks like a latch/lever under the 2 door back seat. Possibly for removing the seats? Or ther adjustments?

In the 2 door, the rear seats are between the rear wheel wells. In the 4 door the rear seats are in front of the rear wheel wells. That's why the 2 door has a narrower, 50/50 split, 2 seater.which would be a bit wierd, as the specs say identical leg room, but the 2 door does say 4passenger while the 4 doors is 5 passenger. so the seats must be different, just not sure why...
Misunderstanding, they fold flat.I know we have been going on about this. But unlike the 4 door the seat design of the 2 door is different and it sits on the wheel well. 90% sure now that the 2 door will have no flat storage. Instead the seat will be on quite a steep incline making storage a bit harder.
Pictured is a badlands 2 door from the website snooping thread . Hopefully we can take the seats out! or maybe its all just a BIG misunderstanding
how. The bottom seat is in the way and doesnt have room to go anywhereMisunderstanding, they fold flat.
It's possible, since it's a shorter wheelbase, there is some type of hump underneath the seats that doesn't allow the seat cushions to fold down. In the 4 door there is a huge empty space underneath the seat cushions where they can fold into. I'm not sure if that space is there in the 2 door or not.make sense, still doesnt explain why they fold differently... or maybe they dont, maybe they fold 2 different ways. 1 is a quick "tip forward for quick storage", the other is "fold the bottom, then tip for flatter storage"
It appears that they fold flat - as in parallel to the ground - but not creating a level load floor from the rear deck up to the front seats. The headreasts revers back and the seatbacks fold forward creating a flat surface... 4-6" higher than the cargo area.how. The bottom seat is in the way and doesnt have room to go anywhere
no look at the image. The rear seats are at an incline and have nowhere to go. Yeah, I don't see those seats disappearing flush into that crater. lolI certainly hope thats the case! But as it stands now you only get an incline if you fold them down
A high chair that mounts in the crater would be cool too; you could pop out of the oval shaped roof hatch for some hunting lol.Good job on the crater Discovery. Alright aftermarket, make some really cool systems that hook into the craters. Maybe specific fridge mounts, or mounts for the 2 doors, or a generic rack standard.
You know someone will take that idea seriously lolA high chair that mounts in the crater would be cool too; you could pop out of the oval shaped roof hatch for some hunting lol.
