seriously though, I am curious what kind of incentives will exist to get a 2024 model off the lot with 2026 around the corner by the time it is fixed.

Watching this thread. I was affected by the recall on a ‘24 Black Diamond 4-door, carbonized gray metallic with hard top at the last minute. Now trying to track one down that is not affected by the recall. Also looking for a Big Bend with the mid package.

I ask because I personally received my 2024 Heritage 2 door just 6 months ago. I have never had any recall notices. I have no complaints, only fun. Furthermore, my neighbor just got a fantastic deal on a 4 door 2024 Bronco and drove it home a few days ago (this past Saturday). Based on what my neighbor explained, you should be getting such a deal on your Bronco Heritage that I will turn Cactus Green with envy.

I'm pretty sure I have the same shocks and I don't have a recall. And I don't see how a future corrosion issue would halt a sale. Any corrosion would be thousands of miles before it could be a problem.
An issue with backup camera might be a potential safety problem. So, I understand how this might delay the sale. However, my 2 door Heritage does not have a recall on the camera. I'm wondering what makes your Bronco different from mine... Does the Heritage you seek to buy have the Lux package or the Mid package?

If it is a safety or emissions recall, they can't sell them. Shocks are considered a safety issue, especially when if the external reservoir fails, the corner of the vehicle can DROP several inches. If this happens while driving, there is concern that an inexperienced driver could lose control and crash. THAT is why they can't sell any that are affected by the shock recall. They also state you shouldn't drive one if you already bought one.

We still drive ours but it is an extra vehicle. I am waiting on parts to be available so we can close that recall out.

Neither one of the stop sale recalls was active six months ago.

That difference must be why I have no recall notices.

I hope you and your wife get your 2 door HE very soon. You will enjoy it. It's a very fun ride and it gets lots of compliments. A few people even thought I did a resto-mod and lift to a 1st Gen Bronco. When I tell them it's a 2024, they are shocked to see a new 2 door truck. Last month, a guy asked me why auto makers stopped selling 2 door vehicles and push the 4 doors so hard? -- he was especially missing 2 door pickup trucks. I had no answer for him, but told him my Old Gray Horse is a lot of fun and I'm glad I got one.

To be specific, the shock recall is only for vehicles with the Bilsteins built BEFORE July 13, 2024. The shock recall does not apply to vehicles built after that date IIRC. Also doesn't apply to those vehicles with the Fox shocks (WildTrak and BRaptor).
