When does everything switch to MY24? Seems like with Ford, it's usually around Aug-Sep that the order guide switches over.

I wonder what the difference is between "exhausted availability" and "balanced out?"

No official date yet.

The current "penciled in" date for order banks opening is late summer, with Job 1 starting early November. If those timelines hold... sometime in the next 3-6 weeks dealers should have a live webcast with Ford detailing most of the 2024MY information with dates. And then we should see the order guide roughly a week (± a few days) before the order banks open.

"Exhausted availability" means they wont have the components for this scheduling period, but they may get components in the future. "Balanced out" means they have no intention on building vehicles with those components for the rest of the model year.

Thanks. Holding out hope for my 8/28 2 door HE build. I haven't been bumped but several earlier August folks have been pushed another 2 months...pretty concerning that another situation might happen like the Maverick where some VINs don't get made in their model year after all. But we'll see!

Am I reading it right that a Badlands with the optional leather power seats is now a constraint? And the SAS package isn't listed as a constraint anymore? Contemplating changing up my order that is accurate...

Correct me if I'm reading improperly, but 2 door AND "5 door cab" (assuming that means the 4 door) are BOTH on limited availability? Also, scheduling for 9/4-9/25 seems to be close to the end. The last 2 changeovers were very late in the year and I'm presuming Ford will want to get back to a normal MY changeover schedule. Considering this is a 3 week build timeline, I would guess that after this, there may be only 1-2 "scheduling" weeks left. About 20K "reservation" orders left last I saw (including mine) and Ford already said (although I likely misunderstand what they mean by that) that all remaining unscheduled reservations will be cancelled on the MY24 changeover. I dont think there will be much scheduling in the next few cycles outside of dealer stock.
My opinion only, of course.

I think they said MIC 2 door and 5 door cab (4 door).

I'm a 4 door black diamond isn't constrained but won't get built because my dealer is out of retail allocations.

So, just to understand, can someone confirm that I’m reading this right? If my 23MY badlands order doesn’t get scheduled soon it won’t rollover to 24MY?

Yes. We got about 6-8 more weeks of potential scheduling days left before Ford balances out 2023MY.

BUT... I'm going to dive into some detail so people understand how this works.

For the 2022MY and 2023MY transition, Ford automatically copied/pasted existing orders to the order banks for the new model year. (There is actually is no "rollover" function, it's literally copy/paste within the database.) The only reason why Ford did this was to facilitate the Bronco price protection system. That price protection system, as Ford promised back in 2021, is ending after the 2023 model year.

Ford Bronco Bronco Scheduling This Week (7/20/23) for Production Weeks 9/4-9/25 1689644969136

Because the price protection system is ending, there is no reason for Ford to copy/paste orders to the 2024MY order banks.

Instead it is back to the normal way Ford has always done things. If you order doesn't get built by the end of the model year, your order is canceled, and it is up to your dealer to recreate your order in the 2024MY order bank and set the priority code accordingly to ensure your order is prioritized ahead of any new Bronco orders they may take.

For those who have no idea what a priority code is...TL;DR version:

Priority code is a number between 1-99. The lower the number the higher the priority. Priority Code 1 is the "build ASAP" code. Priority Code 99 is the "never build this" code. Priority code 1 and 2 is reserved for Ford only. Dealers have the ability to set your priority code to a number between 3-19, or code 99. All orders by default are set to 19.

Funny that BB wheels are now limited availability, don't most people just sell them off? Maybe Ford needs to scour FB marketplace and CL to boost the numbers on hand!

Ordered a 2.7 BB dual top on March 27...starting to doubt I'm getting a '23.

Interesting. I was always under the impression 10 was the best PC a dealer could assign. The more you know!

A 2023 MY Bronco is looking less and less likely at this point.
