It supposed to be priced below new Lexus GX but higher than next gen 4runner. If Toyota can price it in 60-70k range and have creed. They will have a winner.

The Land Cruiser, according to Dan Neil (Auto reviewer, Wall Street Journal) is a powerful, comfortable, and convience-strong heavy-weigh SUV. In other words, a pricey and prestigious mall crawler with little serious off-road capability. The Lexus GX is probably the same "plus more so." So you want a low mpg mall crawler that will impress people at the yacht club when you tow your cigarette boat to the launch ramp? You got it!

This is so true.

Toyota confuses me...

GX being the high end lux offroader - check
LC being a 70k offroad oriented rig - check
Sequoia being flexed into offroad life at 60-70k - what? why? TRDPro?
4Runner - 40-50k super capable - check

LC and Sequoia occupying the same space just seems weird. Almost like they are setting up the LC to flop again.

I'm sure some people are excited and will love this, but big yawn from me. Quite honestly if you could take the top off I'd change my tune. That's basically all it takes, but that's what it takes to go from a boring suv/off roader to something more unique and exciting to me.
