So the two door is going full retro with leaf springs front and rear and 1960's bumpers? I think that is just a silhouette of an old 2 door comparing it to a new 4 door.

Here is an article and Land Cruiser rendering that according to some posts on the Toyota forums, someone from Toyota Plano Headquarters shared the link, perhaps it is getting closer to reality.

Supposably, this GR Sport trim is the street version and the offroad version would get the round headlights, larger tires, more ground clearance, etc.

And were off, Toyota teasers have begun. It looks like the first photo is the Land Cruiser and the second photo is either a 4 door Land Cruiser or 4Runner.

These are all new designs, not refreshes, Toyota is moving all new BOF truck models to the new "TNGA-F" platform. The Toyota Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia and Lexus LX have already moved over to the new platform.

First Up, the Lexus GX550, next up will be the Toyota Land Cruiser this fall and the third will be the new Toyota 6th gen 4Runner this winter.

From the GX teaser photos below you will see Toyota is rolling out their flagship Lexus GX model first. From the upright windshield to the rugged, boxy styling, you get a taste of what influences we will see on all three new models, but of course all three will be unique. You also get a taste of Toyota's new direction with their recently introduced 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter, a factory built rig.

More of a lifestyle ad than a car ad. A few outdoor shots, but mostly the elegant & affluent young couple enjoying each other's company and what they can afford. The one serious shot, going up a steep mountain slope, ends with their admiring....a lighthouse on the seashore? Just enough dirt road video so an owner can say, "Yeah, I take it off road."

To be honest I feel like the second silhouette reminds me of the fj80 which was the last solid axle triple locked 4 door they made.

Agreed, the rear d-pillar radius and door, with no spoiler, looks exactly like the FJ80.

There is new Land Cruiser info out from BestCarWeb Japan, a publication with a good track record.

The name "Land Cruiser Prado" will be replaced by the name "Land Cruiser 250".

Three engines will be offered, it will be interesting to see what the US gets.

More like an ad from the 80s where the 79 GM A body is blocking the downsized 80.

Many vehicles, trucks especially, could use a diet. My first and only Toyota HiLux was smaller than a Maverick.

On the plus side it has been decades if ever there was a drop top FJ. And is that a spate tire mount on the bonnet?
