I ordered the Magnum Stirrups from them on November 13th, 2023. They kept signaling delays but were at least responding to my emails. Lately, I have asked for additional updates after they said they would ship in the next couple weeks... that was in late May and they have ignored any follow up emails since. So curious, has anyone actually received something from them? They are starting to feel like a scam company and I am about to get the lawyers I work with involved.

And to anyone looking at ordering from them. FIND ANY OTHER COMPANY.

Worst company to do business with. I had ordered a byod rail, I waited 6 months and it never got here. I tried to cancel and they tell me they’re going to ship my item. I asked them not to ship it and they owner had the audacity to tell me something along the lines of “it’s shipping to you, you can resell it, give it away, I don’t care, but I’m shipping it out” I had to file a dispute with my credit card company because he refused to refund me. Nothing but lies every time I inquired about how much longer my order was going to take.

I don’t think it will help but since you asked, I did get a BYOD rail and a set of stirrups from them. It was super high quality

I had ordered the magnum stirrups from them as well in the Fall of 2023. They arrived the Summer of 2024, almost as many months of a wait as it took to get my Bronco from date of order.

I really wanted to buy from them but won't. I'd feel more comfy if they switched to a kickstarter type of business model.

"We're gonna build a batch of these widgets when we get to 50 orders." Then CMUNICATE in some easy way where we're at in the process and don't charge me until we get to the magic number of orders that makes it feasible for you.

Instead, it seems like my order would just pay for materials for the other folks that have already ordered before me.

All I've heard about Archetype in the Mustang community is that their stuff is super high quality but basically never in stock. Their site is like a collection of things that don't exist, sometimes haven't existed for years.

I have the Archetype Racing Magnum Stirrups, their center handle (The D+MOSH) and their DNA fender badges. They are all ultra premium quality.

I would buy from them again but you’ve got to recognize they are going to be glacially slow in delivery.

Or you could cancel your order and get the cheap looking stamped steel running boards most people get and have them a day after you order them. I was willing to wait, and for me it was the right choice. It’s not like the parts they sell are function critical and prevent the bronco from being driven.

You can probably attribute part of the delays to him designing and making custom wheels for his personal Ferrari over the summer.

Just remember who's money paid for that Ferrari as you sit waiting with your ᗡi¢k in your hand.

I have absolutely zero business savvy but it seems like these companies that specialize in high quality items operate more on a “cook to order” mentality than a “fast food” mentality. You want that burger fresh? Gotta be patient. It seems that they don’t have the manufacturing capacity to crank out high volumes of these products because of what it takes to make each one. The downside is they advertise a fantastic product that builds a shit ton of hype quickly with a passionate group of car owners but takes a long time to make.

Clear communication from the beginning that these parts take time to make would likely alleviate some frustration. Sounds like their customer service needs a refresher course as well perhaps

Yes, but the main problem is once it's clear and obvious to everyone that their 6 to 8 week or 8 to 12 week timelines or whatever they are are already gone, they continue to give the same time frames. So instead of being truthful and saying hey could be 10 to 12 months, because there's people literally waiting 10 months + right now. New prospective buyers are basically being lied to.

Yep. Agree with you 100%. Overly ambitious timelines. In reality it probably takes 8-12 weeks to make and ship them but they can only do so many at a time. If you’re down the waitlist then your 8-12 week timeline doesn’t even begin until a bunch of others before you have concluded. Turns into 10-12 months quick. Whatever the reality is, they need to be abundantly clear with their customers, even if the timeline is long.

I got a BYOD rail and the DNA badges from them, took forever to get here, but they did get here. Some people said the color on the DNA badges have faded but mine have been solid (so far) and very happy with what I got overall.

I currently have the shift knob for the manual transmission on order. It was (supposed to) ship last month. I also like the Magnum rails, but that’s more money than I’m personally willing to risk on this company.

Their behavior and seemingly endless lead times screams of cash-flow problems. So I’ve been limiting myself to one product at a time and no more than a couple hundred bucks. Essentially gave myself a “gambling limit”.
