I recently made an offer on a Velocity Blue 2025 Badlands a dealer had on the lot and got shot down. Of course it didn’t have everything I would want if ordering one. And looking at prices and the availability of Broncos that check most boxes for me, I might go ahead and order a 2026.

1) I’m debating between Avalanche and Velocity Blue. Anyone grow tired of looking at a blue or white vehicle they’ve had and wish they’d gotten a different color? I’ve had a red truck for over 20 years and would normally lean red, but I don’t like Ford’s Ruby Red at all in person.

2) I test drove Broncos with the manual seats and with the power seats. I preferred the power seats. The available adjustment slots with the manual seats left a gap in the distance from the pedals where I would have rather been at, especially when pressing the clutch pedal for the manual transmission. The power seats, I assume, would have let me scoot right there, rather than feeling a bit too close or a bit too far. I could live with the manual seats, though, and like the idea of saving $2000, so I ask: anyone go with manual seats and wish they had gotten the power seats?

3) I would definitely use the front facing camera and some other Lux package features, but again, I could survive without it all and like the idea of saving money. Did anyone pass on the Lux package to save money but now wish they would have gotten it?

I have a 2023 base Sas and I can tell you I have never needed or wanted any of the higher trim features, just more stuff to break or need a recall and like you said, it runs up the price. I wanted to get the Velocity Blue, but when I needed to find a truck the one I got popped up in Cactus Gray with no dealer markup so I had to grab it quick. I'm used to the color and don't mind it at all.

When I was shopping for my WildTrak, I was debating whether to spring for the Lux package. At the time the only feature I thought I wanted out of that package was the heated steering wheel and I just couldn't justify at the time paying close to $3,500 for the package just for that.

Now in hindsight...

The B&O stereo seemed nice, but in hindsight it seems as though people have been underwhelmed by it.

Adaptive Cruise Control - Used to have it on a previous Lexus I leased. Used it a few times early on and that was it, so don't really regret not having it.

Wireless charging - Those never seem to work in cars, and the Bronco seems to be no different from what I've read.

360-degree camera and front sensors - This I miss and wish I had.

So again, in hindsight, I do regret that I didn't spring for the Lux package. Affording it wasn't an issue, I was just trying to be practical.

Having said all that, I have invested a bit in aftermarket mods, and since the WildTrak and my color is no longer available, I am keeping it. Maybe I'll spring for the Wolfbox mirror in the future.

Velocity blue is awesome. I love mine and get compliments all the time.

For 2026 year... I love the VB, black and the Desert Sand color. I'd avoid any shade of gray. Every other vehicle in the road today is some shade of gray. It's boring.

Velocity Blue rocks!!! Get any and all upgrades your budget will allow. Don’t look at it like you’re saving money, look at it like you’re not getting aggravated because you have to adjust something again. Or you don’t have a creature comfort you’re kicking yourself because you saved a few bucks.

Echoing what others have said, the 360 cam is awesome for parking and wheeling.

Order what you want.

Ruby Red is gorgeous, IMO. That would be my choice of the two actual colors for '26.

1. Only advice on color I'd give is consider tri-coat paints are expensive to repair. I actually like the white Bronco too; if you order one now, I think you can get a paint-matched hard top, which is better than the MIC regular hard top.

2. I have manual seats and don't miss electric seats.

3. I have the High when it was different from Lux and don't know I miss anything in Lux. Maybe the fancy cruise control, but never had it so don't really miss it. 🤷‍♂️

I just picked up my '25 Desert Sand 7MT with Lux at Granger in IA and drove it ~1,800 miles back home to AZ.

Having an infinite amount of adjustment on the seat was enjoyable for clutching. In town, where you use it more, it was nice just to bump the seat a tad closer. Plus I believe you get lumbar and front thigh adjustment. Not sure if the '26 still has HomeLink, but that was another minor selling point. The 360* camera does help in parking lot situations once you get used to it. B&O is adequate with the painted top. The adaptive cruise with a manual is interesting. You can down/upshift and it resumes nicely. Odd sensation but seemed to work well. Lack of rain sensing wipers (even though mentioned in the online owners manual), auto-dimming mirrors, seat cooling, seat memory should really be part of the "lux" package IMHO. (cooling might be a stretch, but still. The interior mirror is the most filmsy POS feeling item I think I've ever felt in a modern automobile. Even my daughter comment on it. FWIW, the tailgate door handle is in-op for remote lock/unlock and the DS rear cargo light is also dead. I missed that in our rushed delivery. (had to hit the road) I suppose that is my welcome to the Ford Family.

Get a quote for what you want from Granger. It would be a close drive for you, unless WI has some kinda restriction on getting it titled. ~3 months from order to pickup in my case.

1 - I hate "non color" cars. I do agree about Rube Red though. I ordered RR, and by the time I got my Bronco that color had been discontinued, so I got Hot Pepper instead. Really like the HP Red.

Note: I would have bought velocity blue, but the wife's F-150 is Velocity Blue and I was told I could get any color as long as we didn't match.

2 - I HATE power seats even more than white cars. They are so slow and annoying to adjust. Plus I have never, ever had a power seat that didn't eventually crap out and need expensive parts.

3 - I ordered a Base on purpose. The less froo-froo tech the better.
