Thanks everyone. I’m now leaning towards velocity blue with a black painted top. My vehicles tend to be a bit dirty more than they are freshly washed, and I imagine the blue looks better in that state. The blue would also help me find my ride in the parking lot of a Brewers game and in other expansive areas like that. Haha.

And I looked through older threads on adding front cameras to Broncos that didn’t have them, and while the aftermarket options seemed to work, I got the sense they weren’t as nicely incorporated into all of the other tech as the factory ones were. The Lux package invoice price is about $2650 more than the mid package, so I’ll probably include that.

I’m still on the fence regarding the seats. The manual adjustment seats were plenty comfortable. But pulling the bar in front and sliding back and forth while trying to find the right spot was a bit annoying. Maybe comical is a better word. I’ll have to watch how often I tweak my truck’s settings.

Some good advice and feedback in this thread. Yup, it’s a balance of budget and wants.

I’m a new Bronco owner, just picked mine up in September. I did a reasonable amount of research prior to buying. For my budget, I got exactly what I wanted. 2.7L, Lux, Desert Sand.

My research started with the Heritage. I absolutely love the look, stand and style. However, over time I felt like I would want more of the Luxury items like power seats, 360 camera (my wife has this, so I got jealous!) which led me to the Outer Banks. With the upgraded floor mats, the interior feels high end to me.

I test drive a Badlands, and the ride seemed a bit rough, and with the rubber floors, a bit noisy. The Outer Banks, with its ‘commuter’ tires, drives great as a daily (and I’m coming from a Mercedes).

I’m a sucker for blue cars, but love the Desert Sand. It‘s bright, unique, without being overpowering.

Do I wish I also had the SAS package? Maybe…. Not really in the budget, so I guess you could say I traded Lux for SAS. In the end, the gearing is what I think I would want most out of the SAS package, for the acceleration! I’m a daily driver, ~30mins, mostly highway, so don’t need the off road setup. However, the SAS stance and wheels are sweet. At some point, based on research, I’ll likely get the Ford Hoss package, and dare I say 20” wheels! Hope this helps, good luck!

If I was in the market for a new Bronco I most likely would not be able to purchase a new model simply because Ford has decided to choke off trims and reduce the option availability to the buyer. Typical Ford move.

if you only want lux for the camera, you can just get a wolfbox for $400 instead.
I insisted on it for heated seats & steering wheel.

The first Badlands I test drove delivered an overly rough ride. It felt like the tires were severely overinflated. Even after that I drove another 2 hours one way to test drive a second Badlands as it had a manual transmission. The ride felt much better. It also had the MT tires whereas the first had the AT tires I believe, whatever that’s worth.

I like the Heritage as well, and the new Velocity Blue Heritage looks great on the Build and Price page. I could easily see myself coming back around to it. I disagree with one of the sentiments above. I think there’s almost too many good options to choose from. Haha

I had originally ordered a 2024 Big Bend with 7 MT, the mid-package and Velocity Blue mainly because of the heated seats and steering wheel (To help cope with Canadian Winter) but because I waited too long to order it, Ford cancelled the order and I was left with selecting from dealer stock. So I ended up with an HPR Black Diamond with no extras and I never looked back. I find the MGV seats warm up from body heat pretty fast and I can't believe how quickly the heater starts pushing warm air. I don't know if it's by design or not but 2 of the dash heater vents are on either side of the steering wheel and start blowing warm air quicker than anything I've ever driven. I am totally happy with the BD and don't miss the other bells and whistles at all. I am really thankful to get the HPR too and never ordered it originally because of the extra cost for that paint. Like others here, personally I don't like White, Black, Brown, or Grey on cars but Velocity Blue is an amazing colour and realistically, how often are you going to adjust your seat? I think I might have touched mine once in the last year and a half.

If the electric seats came with Driver Memory position I’d feel like I was missing out.

But they don’t. So I don’t feel left out

I recently made an offer on a Velocity Blue 2025 Badlands a dealer had on the lot and got shot down. Of course it didn’t have everything I would want if ordering one. And looking at prices and the availability of Broncos that check most boxes for me, I might go ahead and order a 2026.

1) I’m debating between Avalanche and Velocity Blue. Anyone grow tired of looking at a blue or white vehicle they’ve had and wish they’d gotten a different color? I’ve had a red truck for over 20 years and would normally lean red, but I don’t like Ford’s Ruby Red at all in person.

2) I test drove Broncos with the manual seats and with the power seats. I preferred the power seats. The available adjustment slots with the manual seats left a gap in the distance from the pedals where I would have rather been at, especially when pressing the clutch pedal for the manual transmission. The power seats, I assume, would have let me scoot right there, rather than feeling a bit too close or a bit too far. I could live with the manual seats, though, and like the idea of saving $2000, so I ask: anyone go with manual seats and wish they had gotten the power seats?

3) I would definitely use the front facing camera and some other Lux package features, but again, I could survive without it all and like the idea of saving money. Did anyone pass on the Lux package to save money but now wish they would have gotten it?
I'm 4 years with a 2021 OBX Non-SAS. I got the High Package (now, you have to choose Lux, I believe) because I wanted front (and rear) camera. And the little spot lights off the side mirrors. And the electric seats. I'm tall, when buying Ford's I always order the electric seats, they are infinitely more comfortable than the manual seats, and come with seat heating. For me, they are all features I expect in a Bronco: front camera, electric seats, extra lights. Worth it! The front camera shuts off when driving. But in one of the low-range GOAT modes, (mud-Ruts?) The front camera stays on.

I think demanding a car color is overrated. I end up getting used to whatever color I get, and color can be adjusted with accessories, decals, etc. But the lack of a feature I really wanted, like a camera or electric seat, that I would miss.

Keep in mind Ford's thinking on electric seating: it's not available on any trim level designed to get wet or with wash out flooring. Lots of wires and motors under the seats to get wet. And: manual seats don't always have adjustable headrests; all electric seats do

I got a 2022 2-door base in white V6/auto. I wish I would have gotten a red one so that I could have painted the hardtop white. Also wish I would have upgraded to the Big Bend so I could have gotten the rear elocker.

Then again... I've had to touch-up a few paint chips. Nothing beats white for that... and I do get 22-25 MPG with what I have. So... I guess I'm good.

3 years in and I wouldn't change a thing. VB Badlands, 7mt, standard package. The blue is as sexy as ever. Manual seats don't bother me. I don't want extra electronics. I never get tired of staring at the blue, especially after a wash. Looks good dirty too.

If it is truly a Bronco you want, you understand it's design intent (and the trade offs that come with that), and a recall or two don't scare you...you will love whatever you get. Any color choice will probably grow on you over time as you reflect fondly back on the good times and memories it will provide. If it's missing something, half the fun of ownership is tweaking and fine tuning it into being YOUR Bronco.
