Does anyone know how to make the doors quieter when shutting them? (Rumor is '23 models fixed this issue)

So,

Given all the aftermarket solutions out there, ranging from better cabin lights (thanks IAG!) to hardtops that are worth a darn (thanks ADV, looking forward to getting this in soon!) does anyone know the following:

1. Is there any kind of fix to make the doors open and close more like a regular truck (quieter, less rattly sound).
2. Did Ford quietly fix this on 2023 models? I've heard a few people say that, so was just curious.

Thank you for any input.

I have a '22 and a '23 and they both sound the same - tinny and chintzy. My comparison vehicles are an '18 Range Rover and a Tesla Model S so the Bronco doors will always sound crappy and nosisy just like the interior noise levels while driving. :) In spite of it, I love my Bronco.

I didn't realize this was even a thing, nor do I have any complaint about the way mine shuts.

However, I'm guessing a lot of the rattle you're hearing has to do with the frameless windows. Obviously not something any model year change is going to fix unless they completely change the doors.

It’s a small issue but I agree.

When I drop my kids off at school and they get their bags out of the back - when the close the back door it’s extremely loud. Sounds like something broke.

Take them off.. Problem solved.

Seriously tho, the doors are aluminum. Theyre designed to be lightweight. Theyre gonna sound "tinny". And if youre used to closing a heavier door then naturally youre going to slam these.

Talking about the back swing gate door. Sit in the car - have someone open and close it.

My daughter is 13 and every time she closes it, I swear it startles the hell out of me how loud it is.

Again - such a small issue and love my Bronco. Just wanted to know if others felt the same way.

Look up the window adjust fix, that will fix the rattle if it's coming from the glass. Essentially a small bolt on the bottom of the door needs to be adjusted, takes 5 minutes.

You could always use sound deadener inside the doors. May be a PITA to do it all, but it will definitely help the "tinny" sound

You can put a MLV sheets in side the doors and panels to make them close more quietly and sound much less tinny. You would want to get it on the outer skin, inner skin, and the door card itself if possible.

Don’t slam them. It’s amazing that if you just push the door oh-so-slowly, it actually latches shut very nicely.

The thump when my doors close is heavier than some other vehicles I've owned, but they don't rattle.

My wifes '23 WT closes quitter than my '21 BL. The door seems more solid upon closing vs just a few pieces of aluminum. It would be interesting to weigh the 2 and see if there's a difference. Either way I don't really mind but there is a difference.

As an added note... It took me a few seconds to figure out her emergency break. They changed it between models which I found was odd...
