I’m thinking of purchasing a keypad and putting it on the inside of my gas door.

Does it have to be programmed by a dealership? If so, does anyone know what is typically charged? Thanks.

It's on my build, I'm planning on informing my dealer to not attach the keypad, I'll do it myself. I'm surprised they're not charging more for it.

You can buy one uninstalled (I did) and the dealer needs to program it. I have made arrangements for this to be done n/c. See what you can work out.

And I plan to put it in the fuel door as well.

I was charged $165 total for the part and programming. Didn't want it installed at the factory so ordered separately and put it in the fuel door.

It’s installed at the factory.
I talked with Granger about this. If you put it on your Bronco order, it is programmed and installed at the factory.

If you wait and order it as an accessory once your Bronco is built, then the dealer can program it and leave it in the glove box for you to install wherever you want. That is what they recommended, that way you don’t have to mess with taking it off the door and maybe scratching something.

Do you guys want it installed inside the fuel door for ascetics or for extra security? Just curious.

I love this option and use it regularly. Best $110 spent on an accesory.

Aesthetics, easy access, and available even with the front doors off. With the cargo enclosure I can throw my fob in the trunk, and with the doors on or off, top down or up, doesn't matter I can always use the keypad.

Just curious. Why would you need the keypad with the doors off?

I got one from Ford parts. Dealer told me I need to set it up myself. No instructions anywhere to pair it with the Bronco. Can someone please let me know how to pair it with the Bronco?

did you ever get this done? So it 100% needs to be programmed at the dealer? Do you have a pic of it in your gas door? I would love to see it!
