Do the 2.3L and 2.7L engines have identical bolt patterns? News of the manual transmission being restricted to the smaller engine makes me wonder if a swap is possible without a custom bell housing.

So what your saying is that we would be better served for 5.0L swaps if we got the 2.7?Apparently not. The 2.7 shares it with the larger engines. 2.3 with the smaller ones.
Mmhmm. Or get 2.3 and stick and swap entire setup for 5.0/7.3 in 10 yearsSo what your saying is that we would be better served for 5.0L swaps if we got the 2.7?
Haha 10 years? How long is powertrain warranty? 5 years 60k miles?Mmhmm. Or get 2.3 and stick and swap entire setup for 5.0/7.3 in 10 years
I think itās a better fit than the 5.0, lower end torque, doesnāt need to rev to 6k-7k rpm, and is narrower and about same weighti think a 7.3 is way to big for a bronco. in terms of displacement.
Well, I was estimating when you blow up the 2.3 and need to replace it.Haha 10 years? How long is powertrain warranty? 5 years 60k miles?
it will have a V8 by year 3, at 60k miles.
yeah i thot about that right after i postedI think itās a better fit than the 5.0, lower end torque, doesnāt need to rev to 6k-7k rpm, and is narrower and about same weight
Iād prefer the 7.3l, but I donāt know if that trans would fit in place on the Bronco.I think itās a better fit than the 5.0, lower end torque, doesnāt need to rev to 6k-7k rpm, and is narrower and about same weight
Think the Bronco tranny could handle the 7.3L torque curve?Iād prefer the 7.3l, but I donāt know if that trans would fit in place on the Bronco.
