So I have been seeing a lot of complaining on here and I just wanted to clarify a lot.

1 No SFA. (Not a huge complaint from most)
Most die hard rock crawlers are die hard jeep fans. Hence why ford went after the other 90% of the off road market and went after the Parking Lot Warriors. And if you are worried about articulation the RTI (which is the rating of articulation) is 700 for Bronco 730 for Wrangler. Itā€™s so close you wonā€™t notice.

2 No V8. A V8 will never come to the Bronco from the factory. Aftermarket SURE if you want to spend serious money for that v8 roar. The ecoboost line up will have MORE than enough balls to handle 35ā€s even the little 4 banger.

3 No hybrid/PHEV/EV. That is coming later. As soon as next fall. As late as 2023. We have seen leaks and reps have said itā€™s coming. Patients.

4 No Raptor. (Warthog) again coming later. Similar time line to hybrid. (Could even BE the Hybrid) we know little. Other than it will be bad ass!

5 No manual with Sasquatch and/or V6. Thatā€™s due to durability. Moving that much torque and moving those big wheels is going to put a lot of stress on the transmission especially the clutch. Sure they could make a HD transmission, but that would be horrible for road use. Odds are less than 15,000 manual Broncos will be sold annually. Not enough to just multiple set ups.

6 seats donā€™t fold flat.
I think thereā€™s more to the story. I think you have to do multiple steps to get the seats flat. On my 2005 Focus you had to fold the seat bottoms forward then the backs down to get them to fold completely flat. It looks like those seats have more to offer.

7 a la carte options
Ford put out those package lists to see what people like and what people want. These options are DEFINITELY not finalized. This INCLUDES interior packages of color and seat and floor combos. There is still a whole lot more to come in this department and we have only seen the beginning.

8 ā€œSubscription Navigationā€. This is a package with the LTE. You get the Mobile hotspot, wireless CarPlay and AAuto. And fords navigation system that Includes all the popular off road trails as well as the ability to make your own trail and share it! Regular USB Based phone connection is standard.

9. No diesel...
I love a big coal roller. But a small oil burner in a small truck makes zero sense. Cost way to much up front and cost a lot to keep running. Yea slightly more torque is cool. But itā€™s just not worth the cost. And the hoops for ford to jump threw for the EPA is to high for the low take rate (10,000 maybe)

10 low towing.

You can either have a good off road platform or good towing. Not both. The suspension is what makes the difference. Tight hard suspension = good towing bad off road.
Soft suspension. Bad towing good offroad and comfortable on road.

You canā€™t have both.

So any of those complaints arenā€™t really worth you time right now. Give it a few more months and we WILL know a lot more. You have until DECEMBER it sounds like to change your mind on everything from dealer, trim, option engine etc. so please be patient. We have 4 more months to let ford tell us everything.

We already know SOOOO much. Body panels removable with ease. So many different accessories and the aftermarket is going to EXPLODE with options in a couple months. This is only the beginning people. More is to come in the next few months and next few years.

Ford KILLED it and blew most people expectations (including mine) out of the water even after the 5 years of build up, hype and leaks.
Ford Bronco Everybody PLEASE Be Calm. This is only the beginning. VnD

If Chrysler can put a 392 motor into a Wrangler, yes Ford can put a V8 into the Bronco. In fact, not only can they, but I think they are going to be forced to from the changing competitive landscape. If you think Chrysler is just going to sit there with the Wrangler line where it was, you've got a wrong impression. At the very minimum they are going to have to increase the power on the Bronco.
for the 15th time!!!

So for all of you saying
ā€œBut a Hellcat has a manualā€

This is the amount of LBFT needed to get each vehicle rolling up to 3mph. Aka take off with clutch.

Hellcat/ GT350R 65lbft
Bronco 33ā€ tires 91lbft
Bronco 35ā€ tires 101lbft
Bronco 37ā€ tires 112lbft

It not about engine lbft it 1000% to do with the amount of force needed to get the vehicle moving. Trying to get a vehicle moving that needs 112lbft is going to eat up a clutch for breakfast!

Once again. Go drive a Shelby 350 or Z07 Corvette. Or SRT dodge. The clutch is very heavy.

And those are very light cars. Its not about engine torque. Itā€™s RESISTANCE! how much torque needed to move the car from a stationary position. You a lot more in a Bronco than a Shelby.
Not to get in the middle or anything, but Iā€™ve daily driven a Camaro SS with the Tr-6060(same trans as the challenger, the gt500, and others) and never thought the clutch was heavy at all, and driven in plenty of stop and go traffic and long trips with no problems. Have nearly 80,000 miles on this one.

And they arenā€™t really very light cars, both camaro and challenger are at around 4000lbs or more(mines a vert so just over 4K). So maybe a few hundred pounds shy of the base curb weight for the bronco from what Iā€™ve seen. A passenger or two could even(or tip) the scales depending who ya pick up at the bar after a few drinks.

And while Iā€™ve never driven one off road, Iā€™ve met more than one person thatā€™s used the tr6060 in an off-road rig. Not saying that the 6060 would make for a good bronco trans at all, just saying thereā€™s isnā€™t a reason they couldnā€™t make a manual trans work with both engines and still be capable of a lot. They just choose not to. It is what it is.

Yes there are difference like wheels etc, so it wonā€™t be the same comparison. But they still easily could, just not worth the cost to them.

The towing does disappoint me a bit so far yea. You can have great off road and still decent towing, donā€™t think anybodyā€™s asking for it to be a 10-15k tow cap. Just asking for enough to tow something larger than a jet ski. I really donā€™t think a 5-6k tow cap would change much if any of the off-road capability. Especially if any changes are solely on a tow package.

If that thing is reliable, good for it. There are a lot more moving parts and it's a very heavy vehicle (Bronco looking at over 5000 lbs with the 35s) for a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder. I can tell you one thing, the 5.0 is just solid at this point. This is my 6th year with my 2015 Mustang (I preordered it on launch). This thing just works and works under ZERO strain for 6 years no matter what I do or how hard I drive it (hard). I have literally done nothing to it other than oil changes (full synthetic only one time per year) and putting premium gas in. Nothing else, no maintenance. Everytime I bring it in for the oil change they come back telling me wow, you're really keeping this car up well. Little do they know that I did absolutely nothing. The one thing I will say the current 5.0 has given me that none of my previous cars gave me is just reassurance. I never worry about the car. It has effortless power, it always just starts and performs the same as when I got it. Ive had a lot of cars and trucks, thats high praise. They can put the 5.0 into the Bronco easy. They put it into $30000 cars. And it would result in much lower strain on the motor with all that weight. Its a no brainer for me. Like I said. Lets see what FCA does.
who said the bronco was 5000 lbs? or was that a guess? 4400 lbs i believe for the 4dr

The V8 is NEVER going to happen...the CAFE regulations won't allow for it.

Is freaking 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque not enough for you? I'm going with 8:1 odds the Warthog is getting the Aviator PHEV 3L Ecoboost and I'm sure its going to have its wick turned up if needed.

The rumored V8 Wrangler would only have 450HP....
