Pray tell, what is the point of a poll asking whether somebody does not have a problem with a MIC top? That can be assumed for all Bronco owners, unless stated otherwise. The whole point of this poll is to identify how many people ARE having problems, whether they are getting warrantied, and how many times they have been replaced. There's one person I know of who is on their fourth top.

I don't give a rat's ass if your MIC top is fine. Start your own poll if you want to count those. I'm not handing out participation awards.
Kinda need a whole hasn’t had a problem yet to get a percentage of how many have problems vs how many sold

I marked 2x, since it didn't specify if it was per piece or if the same piece was replaced more than once. Replaced my middle section this past Thursday due to it separating at the edge and stress cracks all around it. Then noticed cracks in the rear clamshell. Replacement has been approved, just waiting on it to arrive. Mine is a 22 with 25,000 garage kept miles.

And the new crack on the clamshell.

I pointed that out and he called me out on it. He seems to have a bit of a tude.
I saw so I wanted to reinforce why. 😉

My wife’s one week old WildTrak 2 door has the cracks on both sides of the clam shell, (it looks worse than most pictures posted on here), yet my Braptor has none.
@Ford, come on, quit using this company to make these shitty hard tops! Your customers deserve better.

For warranty claims on the MIC hardtops, I would like to see Ford offer the option for the owner to upgrade to a New Mod Top by only paying the dealer cost difference between the MIC and Mod tops.

I would happily pay the difference to upgrade. This MIC is trash.

There's a huge cost difference between the 2 tops. This is something they will very likely never do

Agreed, but Ford would be making money on the deal and be offering a permanent solution. The dealership will still get paid for the warranty repair. It's a customer appreciation/satisfaction solution that will need pushed through Ford management. Not easy, but could happen. This needs to become a Major issue topic on this forum and Bronco Nation, it will get recognized and hopefully considered.

It would only be a permanent solution for those that want a painted top. I'm sure there are still plenty that just want the MIC top fixed and don't want a painted top at all. Also probably lots of people that couldn't afford/don't want to afford the upgrade to a painted top.
I don't think it would be as lucrative for Ford as you think.
I could maybe see a customer satisfaction program in the future for MIC top replacement, but not an upgrade to the painted top.
Either way, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for it 🤷‍♂️

To say nothing about the 2 front pieces that wouldn`t match your new painted rear portion !

I'm going to say it: this poll isn't really going to help anything, or tell you anything, about WHY the tops are cracking.

You actually need to collect more information than what you're after, INCLUDING people that haven't had issues.

You need to know regional information (southeast where it's hot and sticky? Northwest where it's cold and rainy? Southwest where it's hot and dry?), how the vehicle is used ('mall crawler' vs off-road vs daily driven), how it's stored (inside vs outside, climate controlled inside vs non-climate controlled inside), what year is the vehicle, etc. And while you're collecting this kind of data, you need to know if people have had issues or not.

That kind of data will actually help drill down to what is causing the cracking much better than just 'I had it replaced XX number of times and had to pay for it or warranty covered it.' Because there are a LOT of people who haven't had issues - and why? Ours is a 2dr, sits outside 100% of the time, and is an extra vehicle that was daily driven for several months during the winter/spring. It's also a 24. Absolutely no issues with cracks as yet.

When you're trying to 'root cause' something or make a case for something, getting responses of 'I haven't had a problem' isn't akin to handing out participation trophies, it's valuable data that tells you JUST how bad a problem is, and knowing when it was built and where/how it's being used tells you if it's ACTUALLY a manufacturing defect, or if it's some other factor that wasn't accounted for back in the design and test phase.

My replacement just started to crack. Less than 1 year and 7000 miles. THESE TOPS ARE GARBAGE. Ford are you ready for a class action?
