Get over it. It's an off road vehicle, not a concert hall. Also a blank slate. Make of it what you want. Just a rant, tired of folks complaining about the radio and acoustics...

Hell, at 54, I'm probably half deaf anyway. LOL! I have annual hearing checks due to my occupation, and there's definitely some hearing loss, especially high frequencies. I seldom listen to music while driving, and even then, it's not cranked up enough to garner THD. If the stereo turns on, I'll be happy. LOL!!

(I listen to metal -- Megadeth, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Dio, etc.)

It does suck though, and I'm not a sound system person. It's honestly the only vehicle I've ever owned where I thought, "wow there's a ton of sound system complaints, what a bunch of whiners." Then I got my bronco, and those "whiners" were correct lol.

Iā€™m sure there have been some pretty good factory stereos over time, but Iā€™ve never had one. I planned from the beginning to build my own.

Kinda tired of hearing about cup holders as well @kodiakisland .

I got the B&O. I also donā€™t see the full justification of all they complaints. Is it great, no, but itā€™s okay. Iā€™m convinced 50% of B6G are unable to be content, and complain regularly about the price of tea in China.

Adding a sub made a huge difference.

Hey OP, have you thought about not reading the threads where the sound system quality comes into question?

I just wish the B&O was offered as a standalone option as opposed to be stuck behind the lux package. I haven't heard the stereo in the Bronco yet, but I would prefer the upgrade from the factory.

Iā€™m so sick of seeing these posts so Iā€™ll make a new thread!!!!!

Also the system doesnā€™t suck. Itā€™s the settings that can be adjusted with forescan to make it sound better. In my experience Iā€™ve hardly been able to hear sound in an open top vehicle anyway.

@PSUTE Starting yet another thread about the sound system saying you are tired of hearing about it šŸ¤” are you expecting zero replies? šŸ˜†
  • yes it does suck
  • LiteBrite says itā€™s an on road vehicle with some off road capabilities. Like a more capable Outback šŸ˜†. It should have a radio that sounds better than what was in my ā€˜86 accord

Mine sounds pretty good. Changed out the base kicker and dash speakers to B&O Speakers. And then removed the rear speakers for the JBL sound bar.

The B&O sounds good just not a lot of low end. I've upgraded the sub to a JL 12 HO box and sounds incredible with the top on. But like any open air vehicle, the sound disperses immensely and even the 12 can't compensate for that much air volume when the top is off.

Plenty of highs from the dash speakers and good low out of the 12. But don't expect anything from the on-board sub. Especially once the top is off.

I love car audio and have had an aftermarket system in every vehicle I've owned. Will eventually upgrade the highs but they actually sound pretty solid.
