Ok, just to clarify - the Bronco’s replacement is a larger 8 passenger AWD SUV with all the comfy bells and whistles. Nothing hardcore, but will get me through the snow, to campsites, etc. without killing me on road trips with the family loaded up with people, luggage, and dogs.
Not really interested in litigating which one I chose and why, but rest assured I do my research and know what’s up. Cheers!

to overlook the shortcomings as a family hauler/road trip daily driver.
Care to expand on what these shortcomings were?
Just curious.

We're thrilled with our new moar door.
My perception is the shortcomings all tend to belong to the 2dr.
A far as I'm concerned, It's a toy.
It's cool as hell looking, but it just doesn't get the job done for us in daily driver dept, kind of a pain in the ass actually.

Well… road trips are usually 4-5 grown adults, two dogs, and luggage/supplies for a weekend. Having all that in the noisy bucking Bronco for six or seven hours wears you out. Not to mention having to be happy with 19 mpg. The Bronco was our primary and daily driver, so it had to serve as our everything vehicle. For me, I decided the compromise on off-road ability was worth having a bigger more comfortable vehicle.

All right guys, you got me. Maybe this is it? Pretty much the same as a faux-Bronco moar door anyway right??!!

Not really >19 on the sequoia with the hybrid at least according to a friend driving one, it’s a 4x4 struggling to get 18 average.
Kinda the opposite for us. Just traded our expedition 4x4 getting 20+ and sheeting 8, got a wildtrac. Drove a sequoia before it. Glad to be rid of the soccer mom cars for us and back to something fun again. Had a lifted grand Cherokee before those, all were dailies with a family. Good luck life has phases and cars typically follow those.

I test drove one when I was car shopping for the wife a couple of years ago. It was just ok to me, too car-like for my taste.
