The so-called fixes only tighten the top. When you look carefully at the stitching on the bottom you can plainly see that other than the front that is slid into a separate channel, that the bulk of the bottom of the window is about a half inch high. The fix would be one of two options as I see it but won't attempt until summer.

1. move the channel on the frame downward
2. move the slide on the bottom of the window upward

Neither of these fixes would, in my opinion, affect how the top folds when tail window is lifted - it gets more slack when opened
I like it. Thanks for the reply.

Humor in three not so easy steps.
- Drive to Jim’s house, remove Ford top (MIC or soft)
- Politely deposit said top in Jim’s yard.
- Drive home, install aftermarket top.

I love the soft top, so easy to open, I do it just driving 5 min to the store, never would do that with panels. The wavy windows really don't bother me, but are also lot less in your face than in some photos. Just adds a bit retro look if you will. The rear opening is really great, something I'd not want to miss and now there's a 3rd party that sells a set of gas struts that lift it up for you, a great addition, look for IAG EZ-Lift here in the forums.

As for the hitch, if you do not need the 7pin connector (for trailers with breaks) but only the 4pin or maybe even none if it's just for a bike or cargo carrier, easy and cheaper do add yourself.

I'm firmly in the camp of the soft top being an embarrassment in what otherwise is an awesome looking machine (as is well documented on this forum, lol!)

I'm looking forward to buying an ADV Hardtop (if they ever release it!) and forgetting this soft top ever existed.

Has anyone seen aftermarket panels for the soft top that don't need to be removed when the top is put down?

Thanks. Good info. I'll need the 7 pin.

I tried the butt connector trick, blue and yellow, just made the top above the window look worse. It really bothered me at first, now I don't care, I'll just replace with something better when the top fails. Rather have this than a failing MIC!

There are several soft tops rolling around my small town, but I’m still the only hard top. The #1 comment I still get is how much better my Bronco looks than the wrinkly soft tops. I find it hilarious because my MIC is a piece of shit too, but at least it looks good 😂

Ok, more directly this time with no humor. Both Tops are shit quality IMPO. Jim is CEO at Ford. Within this fantasy Jim & thereby Ford in general would “maybe” get the message that they have quality issues.

welcome to bronco6g. Lots of negativity here. Just ignore them.

lots of guys run here their mouths but at the end of the day none of them have any balls to walk away from the bronco

The message I get is that you are a sarcastic sob. No interest in your opinion.

There is nothing wrong with "the seal" just because there is a wave.

I had read somewhere that there were seal problems, not necessarily because of the wave.
