Anyone know how to turn the screen completely off?
I know theres "Relax Mode" - But the sccreen is still lit with some junk on there.
I just want to be able to turn it off completely.
I have a friend with a 2018 Escape, and there is a physical button that turns it off completely.

Settings>display> screen off (I think that’s what is labeled). It’s right next to calm button. Turns the entire display off, at least on my 12” display it does

Pro update here.. Gurty has had multiple updates as well as Ford Pass, Android Auto, Spotify, Google Maps, Waze and off road maps such as Gaia. Have their been issues along the way... YES and they are frustrating. We are currently in our happy place as streaming is spot on and Waze is full screen.

I had the same issue. I disconnected from my home wifi, turned off auto updates, and then set them both up again. I started getting updates the next evening, and am now all caught up.

I just check my Wi-Fi logs and the only time the Bronco is connecting is when running. Since many of us are using the off hours schedule to do the updates, the cellular modem will be used. Not sure there is any benefit to having Wi-Fi on, unless you are
using others high-bandwidth services and setup something like Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspot service that will connect as you drive.

A follow-up to my previous post. At 12:45am, the Bronco woke and connected to my Wi-Fi and did a small sized upload/download and remains connected. I have the update check set for for 1am, so it must awake periodically and connects to Wi-Fi, if setup.

For those interested, the connection name is mdm####-tcu (#### should be a unique number for your truck). I’m tempted to throw a packet capture on my network to see the chit/chat.

Thanks for the info...my Unifi router was identifying it as a HP Printer for some reason LOL..I really didn't look into it since I had two HP printers on my network.

Need to fix that

Turned my updates off, its an offroader, not a phone

It's also a highly technical piece of equipment. If you have buggy code and don't accept updates and your truck dies out on the side of a mountain, saying "it's an offroader, not a phone" out loud won't make it crank.

I am suspicious of them undoing all my Forscan tweeks.
Also the privacy setting used to be selectable and now as of Feb 10th you have no control over that either.

Just FYI, this update did not impact the Forscan changes that I had previously made to my '23 Badlands (added Sport, removed double-honk, added Bambi mode).

if ford is listening, can you give me an update to shut off that annoying digital speedometer that is literally right next to the analog one? that is dumb.

And how about real world size tachometer and fuel gauge! I'm an old guy, and my vision isn't getting any better...

Updates mean better things are coming. I also have a Tesla and I am on the beta program so the updates don't bother me at all. I welcome them.
