I’m curious about the threaded fasteners in mine. The threads on the fasteners I’ve worked with seem to be kinda rough and pitted with worn spots, as if they’ve been through a short stint of sand and gravel tumbling.
I’ve brushed, wiped, and cleaned a few to see if it was just some finish. Nope.

A new thread lock safety feature? jk, maybe.

An engineering field trip to the supplier would be enlightening.

The dealership experience is abysmal at best, I did not buy from my local dealer but did take my Bronco in for a ”clicking” sound from the hardtop. They said that they would need to have it for at least a day to track down the “clicking” because sound travels, so I left it for the day even though I had already driven with a service advisor and showed him where the sound was coming from. It was the Raptor’s B pillar brace and the top “clicking” together, they called and asked if I installed that part because they did not recognize it and couldn’t find a part number for it!! I had to explain to them what it was and how to find the part number. Needless to say, they will not be used for anything in the future.

I worked at a Ford dealership this past year and I can tell you that the amount of recalls, weird problems that take a few visits to fix, etc. are out of control. Customers are not happy! It is amazing how many problems there are. The quality control is not good. I hope they get their crap together.
Not just Ford, man. I work on Honda's and they are the same way. Recalls, product updates, goofy quirks, bad control units, head gasket issues. Just how it is across the board now. Buy your favorite trash and enjoy it.
Recalls aren't a bad thing. Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc just owning up to a faulty part or whatever and fixing it free of charge.

Recalls aren't a bad thing? That's some real "truthiness" right there.

I cut and pasted below from another thread, seems to fit here too.
But,
I’ve owned most makes of autos, started working as a mechanic when I graduated high school in 1970, owned my own auto repair service for 22 years
And, to this day, I still don’t know how cars manage to do all the amazing things they do on a daily basis.
To me, cars are the closest things to a living being man can make outside of the womb.
They breath, eat, poop, move, think, talk, watch over us, and much more, they just can’t reproduce on their own … yet.
Now to the cut and paste., About my WOLFBOX 900 tri pro.
I have the same set up in my FORD Bronco Raptor.
Solved a problem with not seeing all that I need to see with the third brake light and 37 inch tire blocking my view; and, as an added bonus, I can keep an eye on my kids in the back.
I'm very impressed with the mirror.
But ...
My mirror started to have issues and then stopped working.
I Emailed Wolfbox, they answered immediately, and I mean Immediately, solved the problem very quickly and to my complete satisfaction.
Naturally, I didn't want any problems, but when there is a problem, as a company, this is how a company should treat it's customers ... With Respect.
Now, about my new Cadillac Escalade ESV, $120,000 plus out the door.
My motor needs to be inspected, possibly replaced, yes, the motor on a new vehicle, catastrophic engine failure possible which can result in complete loss of engine power, possibly causing injury or death to the occupants.
Cadillac hasn't answered my Emails, and the dealership says that someone will call me back, but no one ever does.
Right after Christmas, I'm going to call another dealership.
When there is a problem, as a company, this is NOT how a company should treat it's customers ... By Ignoring Them.
Yes, I know that about a million GM vehicles are affected by this bad engine catastrophe, but they should have a system in place to handle this disaster.
PS: Every time I have Emailed FORD, a FORD rep has answered

What was the original post? something about I hate my car... sell it then... Was there a point here?
In other news, I had therapy for the knee today and should be able to wheel soon.

Recalls are a big enough inconvenience to deal with that many people simply ignore the recalls or go to the extreme and trade in the vehicle and get a new one.

I presently have one vehicle capable of hauling me and my kid around. A vehicle is a necessity for me. I can’t leave it at the dealer. I don’t want to lose money taking off of work or use paid vacation waiting in the lounge at a dealership. I also don’t want to inconvenience friends or family by having them haul me to and from the dealer dropping the vehicle off and getting it back and maybe borrowing their car in the meantime. And I certainly don’t want to rent a car for $150 because Bilstein or some other manufacturer soiled their pants and failed to deliver a product of reasonable quality. And every time I’ve inquired about a so-called courtesy car from a dealer, they never had any. They never even checked on availability. It was always a quick, “Those are all booked. None available.” Who’s driving all these courtesy cars? The service managers’ kids?

I’ve been looking for a vehicle for a while now, new and used. A significant number of the used Broncos I see, looking at lightly used 2024 and 2025 Badlands models, get traded in right after a service recall is issued, at least according to the Carfax report. Many people don’t want to deal with the hassle. And why aren’t Ford dealers fixing the used Broncos sitting on their lots with open recalls? The vehicles are just sitting there. Already on their lot. It’s the most convenient and opportune time to address the problem, but yet they sit there untouched. Why?…. Exactly. Because they know people will drive the vehicle off the lot and never get the recall done.

Ford should:

1) Demand dealers service all recalls on the used Ford vehicles they’re selling on their lots.
2) Offer a free oil change and tire rotation when servicing the recalled vehicles owned by non dealers for the inconvenience of having to get it done.
3) Let MIC top owners upgrade to a painted top for a reasonable price.

I jumped into my 2025 Ford 2-door Bronco this morning when I got back off the road. Base trim. Fired it up to let it warm up. Dash gages was completely black. Shut it off and restarted it twice more. Lost everything. Got back into my Kenworth and checked the dealership hours. Got home and called service. No answer so I left a message. Waited a couple of hours called again. Still no answer. Called a 3rd time finally got a live person. Turns out this is a known issue. Groovy. Need to get it in to diagnose it. Have a special "recall team" to do this. 1-8hrs to fix. Software issue. 7000 miles 4 months old. Was scheduled for this Thursday. Suddenly realized that was Jan 1st. Called sales area, oh we are closed that day. Recalled service and left a message. Never got a call back. Because of my work schedule Thursday was all I had. Hopefully can get it in next Saturday...Hopefully. Never got a call about a recall either.

1. Every dealership I’ve ever worked at already does this during the used car inspections.
You need to remember that not every recall can be done by a dealership, especially newer recalls that were recently released with no available remedy or parts yet.

2, and especially 3, are never going to happen.

Carfax updates their records when a vehicle gets washed, but maybe they’re slow to record performed recalls. I don’t know. I’m a Ford fan. I just think they could do better.

They may have a repair available now, but some of those recalls likely didn’t have a repair prior to the UVI being performed or listed for sale.
Could they go back and check open recalls periodically? Sure. But most service departments have a backlog of actual customer work that takes a higher priority.

Really doesn’t make a difference either way. If you actually want to buy one, I’m sure they’d be more than happy to knock out any open recalls with a repair available prior to delivery.

Notice how ole stevep1590 has not had a single post after starting this thread. Me thinks he is full of shit! 🧌 🧌
Ole RoLyMa27! I love my car. A few quirks that should have been taken care of in production, IMO, it was the amount of recalls I was referring to.

Seen a lot of trolls around here. They start a thread like this then you never hear from them again. 3 pages in and you haven't said a word. Here you are now so I stand corrected. Welcome to the forum. I will delete my post.

How many does the model you own actually have?
I'm at 22k miles on my 2023 BL 2dr squatch lux 2.7, I've had the window fix and the shock fix. 3 things under warranty not recall related. My top has some slight desalination that I'm not concerned about. Other than these, no issues.

You got me wondering. Ford pass lists 3 for me.
