And lastly to see if it’s scheduled on the Convoy (Truck not Rail) to your Dealer!
https://palsapp.com

If you are going by rail, it’s more complicated…

First you will need the rail car letters and numbers. It is on the visibility report or DORA which is from the dealership. You MAY be able to get it from the SVT people but they seem often in a cranky mood and may tell you to get it from the dealer.

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

NS Norfolk Southern
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. Press 2.
3. Press 2.
4. Enter the letters on the numeric keypad then press #. As in: TTGX will be 8849
5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.

Please let me know if there are any others and I'll add. That way it'll all be in one place!
Or maybe make it a sticky.

Michael

It's obvious that Ford decided that we were learning too much and decided that less is more when it comes to communication.

It worked for me about 30 minutes ago.
It was working first thing this morning and stopped working mid morning. About the same time I checked the tracker this evening, I checked the Motorcraft module checker (which never showed anything but null) --and it looks like mine is "ALIVE"!!

Priority number Ford has no control and are set by your dealer according to marketing with now 200,000 orders well into 2024! My dealer changed 2021 to 99; then in 10/16/21 booked 2022 order confirmed that night by Ford. Then second email said call dealer on change. Priority 99 to 19. But marketing cant see DORA, they have different system like 911 PD vs FD in NYC. we all know what happen! Marketing gal said now 200,000 back orders and at 8 k a month ha! ha! thats 24 months without closing to retool, vacations a part supply. In a chat room a live gal say 99 to 19 and my earily order for 2022 would be in first priduction! ha ha! My stamp date is in the 300,000 reservation number which started with 100,000. Just more bad info from Ford. My dealer can move it to the back of the line since base old, low profit margins and holdbacks forgetabout.
My sales want to sell First Edition store suv for $91,000 bummer. Marketing cannot see DORA different software, but says one vin # assigned can get help from marketing. Chat room had access to DORA on dealers individual orders. Good luck, without a low time stamp of your reservation it looks like 2023!
Lighten up, Francis.

So, when my Bronco's rail car hit the state of Oklahoma I called my dealer to see what he knew. He was aware, as he checks on his orders each morning. He said the trucking company would either be Jack Cooper or United Road. I haven't heard much about the latter on the forum. So, I did some research and found this site. Yet another thing to obsessively refresh all day. Has anyone else seen their come in from United Road?

I'm all over this website daily, and I haven't seen this yet: My Bronco showed up in the palsapp tracker until Friday. Now it says that the VIN cannot be found and may have been picked up by another carrier. Anyone experienced this? Think it was picked up by a hot shot?
Mine was on and off the trackers several times the week it was built. It actually still shows as pending shipment, but ive had it for a week. 10/13 built 10/22 delivered. Palsapp seemed to be the worse as far as current information. My dealer had the current information. They get emails apparently that lets them know which Vin numbers are in transit.

Yours will probably just show up one with no warning. Good Luck!

Yours will probably just show up one day. Surprise, its here! Good Luck!

On that link to check on the modules being powered up. I can access it and download the results but it wants to know what program to open the file in. Is there more information on how to open this or access the module page? Thank you.

Another piece of the puzzle for everyone obsessing about tracking their rail shipments. It's a little dated 2018 but lists all of the Ford rail unloading terminals. Typically one for every state and a few for the larger states like TX, CA and FL. It even lists our Canadian and Mexican neighbors on the last pages. Some of the yards have live cameras for the truly sick.

Ford Rail Unloading Terminals by State:
https://aar.com/standards/pdfs/2018 AAR Terminal Guide Master 01-18.pdf
For Long Island and prob NYC customers, the train delivers the vehicles to New Jersey and then they are put on the truck from there.

Does anyone have an example or know the exact place to look on the DORA or visibility report for the rail car number? My dealer says they have no idea what I’m talking about.
